Dr. Leonard S Marcus, MD

Dr Marcus is a fantastic mental health provider. It is so difficult to find a psychiatrist (Prescriber) who also takes time for actual psychotherapy sessions. Dr Marcus has a great sense of humor and understands when I thoughts I share need "correcting" and when I am simply being sarcastic or exaggerating. Sense of humor might seem unimportant in a psychiatrist, but it is vital for me that my therapist is able to differentiate between what is a problem and what is a joke. He also works with me to get the just-right meds combination, taking into account my meds history, my goals, and whether side effects will make the benefits of a drug moot. Dr Marcus is insightful, thorough, and genuinely wants to help you get to the root of the problem. Meds are a way to help patients be capable of working through things, not the "cure" for mental illness. I have seen several therapists trying to find Dr Right, and Dr Marcus is the right one for me.

Not caring about me as a patient. Extremely rude. Overlooked important info in my Medical Record. Made serious errors. Never go to him if you expect good quality care
