Helped me with my Lyme disease when no other doctor could

Called to schedule a new patient appointment & it felt like the woman was trying to talk me out of scheduling. It got to the point where i was rendered speechless for a moment before asking her if I was bothering her. She apologized that I felt that way and never changed her snarky tone. I let her know that due to HER behavior I will not be scheduling with their office. I've spent my entire career running the front desk of doctor offices and I cannot even imagine talking to any patient like that, let alone a new patient! If that is how they are at the first phone call there is no way I will work with their office. Dealing with a chronic illness like Lyme takes teamwork and trust... Which he claims to specialize in.

I was warned by a Lyme group to beware of coming here. I wish I had heeded their advice. Not only is Dr. Schuchman rude, he's condescending and patronizing. Wait time was roughly 5 mins, he came in, told me he had bad news and that was my insurance carrier. A carrier he takes and charges for routine one-on-one, but refused to offer any treatment other than another month of antibiotic. Doing enough research to know antibiotics do nothing if not paired with a protocol, I was done and refused to fill yet another useless prescription. He doesn't believe in biofilm and refused to talk to me about how I had been treating up to this point. So basically, it was a waste of an hours time and 3 weeks when I could've gotten an appointment with a referred Dr. but wanted to take the chance as he was closer. Lesson learned. And if you have AETNA, spare yourself the disappointment and seek elsewhere.

Wonderful doctor, terrible front desk staff

He confirmed and believed my diagnosis of lyme disease and figured out the right combination of treatment both Drug and holistic to treat me and protect my system from the drugs. He took me from bells palsy, joint pain, stabbing pains, bad balance and neurological problems back to health. I can work again and participate in every day life. I saw many others being treated with similar success.

Dr. Schuchman is always available, always kind and and an excellent diagnostician. He discovered my problem after three other doctors failed to do so. I am fortunate that I found him or I would still be suffering.

He is an excellent, compassionate physician who is readily available after hours and on weekends. I consider myself fortunate to be his patient.
