Dr. Leonard Lee Touchette, MD

I know this is being written after his arrest, but after reading previous reviews I can't help but comment. I was the same age as his alleged "first victim". I was 2 in 1992, and was also a female patient of his at that exact same time. This doctor was the BEST! His service was impeccable!! He is thorough and smart and attentive and most of all RESPECTFUL!!! I was beyond excited when I learned that my kids would be patients of Dr. Touchette! The previous review of a patient feeling uncomfortable while the DOCTOR... PHYSICALLY EXAMINED her during..... a PHYSICAL EXAM is just what I would expect from that generation. I'm sorry you were raised without the proper information on what would happen and why during a PHYSICAL, but I can assure you that him examining you the way he did is the same way I was examined and both instances were professional in every way! Did he have dry cracked hands? Yes. Was it uncomfortable being looked at and touched in ways that aren't normal at that age? Yes.… Was it PROFESSIONAL? YES!! Just because you were uncomfortable in the situation doesn't mean what he did was wrong. Like one of you even said, he reassured you during the exam that he is a doctor and that is WHY that is happening. It wasn't a statement made to "cover up" his behavior! He said that because it is true! At that age you're not being seen by an OBGYN. Your pediatrician IS going to spread your labia and look for brusing, puss, odor, any signs of either trauma or infection! He is CARING for you as a PATIENT!! Again, I'm sorry your parents didn't educate you on what and WHY you were being touched, but this doctor does not deserve what has happened to him!

Dr. T has been taking care of my children for years. The best pediatrician they have had, hands down. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, and friendly. I highly recommend him!

I also have received this treatment from Dr. Touchette. I remember very clearly being alone in the examination room when he did exactly what you said to me. Thank you for pointing this out because I always thought something was wrong with this behavior but I was convinced that because he was a doctor it was okay.

You are not alone! Myself and other females I know closely have unfortunately had the same uncomfortable encounters with this man. I remember hating him when I was younger and now I'm old enough to understand why. Its regrettable that there are a multitude of us out there who have been subjected to the same treatment. And as you said, he reinforced the "I'm a doctor so this is okay" reasoning. As I am going in to the medical field, I now know that what he was doing was not only uncalled for (and disgusting) but not allowed do to the lack of a woman in the room to observe the examination. I hope all parents with female children take a hard look at these reviews before taking their little girls to this man.

i am here to see if i am not the only one. Dr. Touchette completed many of my “physicals” throughout my years growing up. i absolutely hated it so much after i knew what would happen from exsperience i would plead and verbally/visibly show my discomfort towards getting a physical but was still forced to many times. i clearly remember dr. touchette sliding my underwear down and grabbing and opening up my labias with his bare hands as i was in visible discomfort and he would always say “this is okay because i’m your doctor.” when i got older and started to develop breasts he would “feel” them for lumps. these exsperiences haunt me to this day and i am so mad that i was forced to exspose myself and be touched in ways i wasn’t comfortable with from a young age by an older man. it’s crazy because to this day i can still remember how rough and dry his cracked hands were.

Every single appointment was terrible, being called (finally) after waiting over 45 minutes after your scheduled time... tried to tell me that my daughter preferred to lay on one side and that was why she had a curve in her spine. After asking for an X-Ray since I suspected scoliosis, it never happened. On that note, we left and haven't gone back, cost me over $100 to get medical records for my 3 children and YES, she did have scoliosis! Either keep up with medicine and listen to your patients more or retire!

I have always been able to get a sick visit on the day I request. Dr. Touchette has personally followed up on severe issues, calling to see how my child is recovering. Very personable, know my child's likes/dislikes, earning her trust.

While you might find that you are made to wait a little longer at this office, I really feel like the wait is worth it. The doctor made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions (even the silly ones). He isn't pushy about his beliefs, but he lets you know the facts and really is great at not making you feel stupid or like he has no time like a lot of doctors do. The nurses are really sweet and have been a great help when I am nervous about my child's shots. I love the doctor and he makes me feel comfortable about being at a doctor's office and being a younger mom (I am only 24). I would highly recommend him!

We've been seeing Doctor Bonnie Touchette for last 6 years and we LOVE her. Beleive it or not, my kids love going to see the doctor. She is absolutely wonderful! And staff and nurses are always nice and helpful!
