Dr. Leonid Vasiljevich Karkanitsa, MD

I have been a patient of the dr for about 4 years now. Before this I was a patient of pain management where they perscribe an abundant amount of pills and barely have the time to sit and discuss how you are doing. The first thing this wonderful dr did was lower the amount of pills i was on and at the time i didnt even know that i didnt need them! Over the past 4 years Dr. Karkanitsa proved to be a very professional, kind, caring, patient, courteous dr whom i can really tell anything to. He truely cares about his patients and wants to do all he can to help them get better. Unfortunately my problems have become worse over the past 4 years, not at all due to him but due to the aging process i suppose. It is now when i really need this medication that the higher aboves dont want drs to prescribe them any longer. Which really isnt fair to those people who really need to be helped by taking them. I do however have confidence the dr will help me manage my condition somehow. For… those of you who are looking for a dr that truly cares, look no further. This is your man!

Dr. Karkanitsa is everything you could want in a doctor - and more. He is intelligent, knowledgeable, pleasant, prompt, professional, kind, caring, and puts a genuine urgency in the patient's needs and care. Truly a role model for physicians.

He always takes the time to explain anything you don’t understand and makes you feel at ease.

Dr Karkanitsa is a caring experienced physician who really listens to his patients and responds accordingly. Not too many physicians out there in this day of fast paced medical appointments who take the time to listen and care for patients and their needs

Today I called doctor Karkanista office to ask for my medical records and they refused to answer my calls after dialing for several times I went online the status showed office is open so I used my friends phone to call which was answered after 2 rings smh so very petty for a professional office!!! Then after I asked to have my medical records transferred to my new doctor the receptionist went out on me what is wrong with these people omg they need to stop!!!

Dr. Karkantis is the doctor in charge at Lord Chamberlain in which I was transferred to for rehabilitation. When I spoke with the doctor about getting too much insulin, he did not adjust it enough. I’m still having readings of 63 as my blood sugar which should be adjusted more so the it reads above 70. Also, I’m recovering from a sever flair-up from gout. I ask for the drug Uloric which reduces uric acid in the blood, the cause of gout. He agreed to adding it to my daily prescriptions, but then decided not to give it to me because I have kidney problems which is not true. I called his office at Ryder’s Landing to confront him, he has not called me back or come to see me for the last two days. Still waiting.

Dr. Karkanitsa answered my questions about vitamins and lab testing with knowledge and insightful advice. If you like smart, friendly, and respectful doctors, then he may be your dream primary physician!

May sound dramatic, but I truly believe Dr. Karkanitsa saved my husbands life.

Without exception or reservation, if you need a truly compasionate and gifted primary care physician, he is the best I have ever seen. Don't all see himm then I may have to share him. The best
