Dr. Leopoldo Mario Basilico, MD

I seen Dr. Basilico in the Er at Pampa regional Medical Center in Pampa Texas . What a waste of time. I went to the ER with a shoulder injury and all he did was give me Toradol the new miracle drug which is nothing but Advil. It did nothing for the pain I was in. He gave me a prescription for a muscle relaxant that I could not gtt filled until the next day. When I told the nurse that the Toradol did nothing she said well sometimes these things take time. I did not get any sleep that because of the pain. I hope I never see this Dr. again.

I am one of those people who will find any excuse not to see a physician. Not the case with Dr. Basilico. Straight up, no nonsense, actually made practical recommendations and suggestions regarding my chart! Just made my next appointment.

I had a problem seeing doctors. I was extremely scared of them because of past experiences. He asked me why I had a problem, and he listened for about 45 minutes. What a wonderful man! I can always get in within a week or two, and if I can not see him, his wife is sometimes available.

Dr Basilico is the ONLY primary care physician I have ever had that actually READ MY CHART. On my first visit he spent 45 minutes with me taking history and performing the most thorough exam I've ever had. I have only had to wait more than 10 minutes once in my eight years as a patient, and I never feel rushed with him or that he is not reallly paying attention to my concerns. He draws his own blood, does his own procedures. He doesn't smile a lot, but he is definately friendly and kind. I recommend him to my friends, family, people I've just met. His waiting room isn't fancy, but his equipment is up to date. Love this doc, may he not retire for a long long time.
