This is the second I've gone in to see Dr. Bentinganan and was throughly disappointed. I let the first time go, telling myself she may have been having an off day, but today she was the exact same. We had a discussion and she questioned me about a diagnosis of a chronic condition I have been dealing with for about 6 years and when I answered she would tell me I was wrong and then "tell me the right thing" but just repeated what I had basically said? I only speak from a medical background, that I know what I was saying was accurate. Normally a rushed/bad day wouldn't have been such a bad thing but her monotonous, disengaged attitude made it feel very ungenuine. What boils down to it, it feels as if there was no therapeutic communication being used and it made me uncomfortable an unable/not wanting to speak. I only give a 2 rating because her nurse was absolutely wonderful.

Dr. Bentinganan always takes my questions and concerns seriously and answers my questions thoroughly. My visits are not complete until she is sure all my concerns have been addressed. I have no doubts about her professionalism or competency. I searched for an osteopath as my primary practitioner and I'm glad I found her.

When I spoke with her, she was sharing things that other family members had said to her privately as her patient. It should not be shared with other patients even if they are family. She kept interrupting me and I quote "we all deal with depression and anxiety and get on with our lives" when I was trying to seek help. This only made me feel worse. I couldn't get a word in. I'm afraid of doctors (part of my anxiety) and she seemed to drive that home for me. I thought she could help me while I deal with difficult personal things, but ended leaving with tears. The medication she prescribed me I specifically told her has bad side effects but she did anyway. I felt judged and I could not trust her with personal information considering that she gave me so many personal information about other patients. A doctor is suppose to understand and help and remedy a way for your life to be less painless, more happy and normal. I left hemr office feeling out of options, it was a waste of time and… kind of hopeless.
