Dr. Leslie Anne Fecher, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Fecher for the last two years after getting stage three melanoma. Her bedside manner did bother me at first. However she has been so very helpful I now am so grateful for her help. She is very thorough with keeping on top of all my health problems. Every message I send on portal is answered quickly and politely. I can't thank her and all the staff at University of Michigan enough! They are great!

I have had several meetings with Dr Fecher and despite her positive reviews had a terrible experience with her . She has insulted me several times , actually during a consultation on side effects where I was looking at her handout comparing side effects between a medication on the previous page while she talked to the page she was on she grabbed the paperwork out of my hand and declared stay on this page . I am on this page . Now I am 60 years old no kid . I complained then she went on how I needed a psychiatrist before she would treat me . I am stage 4b melanoma . She never offers any hope saying their is less then a 15% chance I will survive a year every time I see her . She said the same thing over 1 year ago . I really am frazzled she seems very vindictive . I grew up in this County , paid all my taxes here to the State my whole life , am very ill and she is playing games . She says she is scared of people she has been hit before by patients and family . I just don't understand… where she is coming from . She even told me I could just go somewhere else . I explained I am very sick , in terrible pain and cannot travel . She is a cold fish with no bed manner . The U of M has very serious communication problems due to the institutions size . I am so sad to say any of this people need loving , personal care which it seems no longer exists at this institution I loved my whole life and volunteered at when I could . Very sad I hope they improve and nobody else has these same experiences . Patients just want straight facts and some hope from their Doctors along with patience and understanding , we try to give the same along with understanding them . I don't understand this lady at all or half of what goes on at the U of M anymore . Wrong meds given in the Hospital , serious infections missed in emergency and patients ridiculed and given forms to fill out when they try to straighten things out with no resolution . Take this for what its worth its true just be careful around her . She has pretty good reviews otherwise they should be worth something and her education appeared wonderful . Her bedside manner terrifies me and hurt me very deeply . When Doctors have not been able to understand or help so often they attack the patients character and sanity . Shame on those who do this and its way to many . God Bless .

Dr. Fecher seems more interested in insulting colleagues and exaggerating fears than treating illness.

I would recommend Dr. Fecher in a heartbeat. She is very professional, articulate, compassionate; she is up on all of the latest treatments and is always available. We could not have had a better experience when seeing her and her staff was outstanding, as well.

Dr. Fecher is very thorough. She never rushes through an appt.
