Dr. Leslie Alan Goodman, MD

Dr. Goodman was a fine man. He had a good bedside manner. He always listened and was very compationate. He had a friendly nurse and the lady who did the scheduling was always friendly as well. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. I see he had several negative reviews, I can only say good things about my care. Many prayers for his family and staff regarding his recent passing. I definitely will miss him.

He doesn't listen and can come off rude and dismissive. My sister is also a patient and she's had the same experience. My daughter took her to an appointment and thought he was rude. He became my physician after the physician had for 20 years retired. Now he's MIA.

He is very rude and unprofessional. He stated he does not treat rheumatology and he also does not take the time to listen to the parent and understand the circumstance. I encountered abuse during a recent visit with him. He moved my leg aggressively when I vocally explained I was in pain. I touched his hand to stop him from moving my leg that is injured in a fast pace because I was in extreme pain. Once I explained my discomfort during the visit, he screamed “I will have you thrown out of this office” and he pointed his finger in my face as if I was a child. I have been a patient at this office for years and never encountered a terrible incident until my visit with Dr. Goodman. I encourage you to seek a different doctor because he is not helpful and he hurt me physically and caused so much fear for me after our recent encounter. I won’t ever be back!

Every time I have visited him, he is professional, attentive, and very thorough in his examination. He listens to you, and answers your questions. He is serious and direct, and has helped me more than any rheumatologist I have ever seen. McIntosh Clinic is lucky to have him.

I have tried this Doctor several times for myself as well as my husband and I feel he speaks over you and isnt very explanatory. He did ask questions and assess a little ~ However he ask you questions then before you can finish answering the question he ask he is already talking over you vs listening. I have NEVER felt ANY resolution after leaving his office and have felt just as lost when I left there as I was when I went in. His compassion level & empathy is definitely lacking ~ although I continued to try & explain my situation to him he did not care whatsoever and showed no interest in even attempting to help us resolve our issues/challenges. The service(s) was/were absolutely below reasonable standards of care. I will NEVER go back to Leslie Goodman again or this office unless it is life or death and even then it's almost debatable.

Don't waste your time with this Dr I Had 2 blood test at different locations and his nurse said they did not receive them. I called both places and they sent them to him twice you never get an answer when you call always answering machine. The nurse when I told her got so mad and said she answers the phone and helps him they are over worked she slammed the door so hard it rattled the wall, then he came in and said to make another appointment as he had 3 new patients to see. I called 2 times and they said they had not received them when I got my medical records from him they were in my records. I have not heard from them to this day. I think he is only interested in money

Dr was kind the first visit, but after that dismissed anything I had to say and kept trying to talk me into $200 shots that my insurance didn't cover.

Dr. Goodman talks to me like I am a human. He understands me and spends time with me, explaining everything, very thorough. He helped me understand that a diagnosis for rheumatological diseases is not an easy process. His office staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone who wants someone down to earth and friendly.

My first visit with Dr Goodman was ok, but I thought he was rather different. On the second visit, I told the nurse I thought the dr was strange. She laughed and told me he is hard of hearing, and also from Florida and things are different here than in Florida. Dr Goodman is very smart and straightforward. I really like him now and appreciate him. His staff has been wonderful!!!

Dr. Goodman's billing was terrible, inaccurate and incorrect. He actually collected more from me than Blue Cross showed as "patient owes," but never would refund the overpayment. His staff is rude and not helpful and when you bring this to the doctor's attention, he acts as if he's too afraid to speak with them about the issues. He was my doctor for many months until I finally decided I didn't need to be treated this way. I would NEVER recommend this doctor because of the above AND he really never provided any diagnosis or treatment. I found a doctor who could and have been happy ever since.
