Dr. Leslie F Herman, MD

Very poor doctor! Doesn’t know how to prescribe meds. Doesn’t warn of side effects or know what to do with suicidal ideation. Uncaring and not professional. Self serving!

Dr Herman is a great psychiatrist. She asks how you're doing and is really interested in getting you on the right medication. She listened to all my concerns and try to address them. I'm just sad that my insurance no longer covers her so if i would see her i would have to continue seeing her out of pocket.

I've seen a lot of psychiatrists in my day. Dr. Herman is my favorite. I actually feel like she cares and she is humble, unlike most doctors. She doesn't just hand me a script and send me out the door-she's willing to truly discuss options and doesn't make me feel like she's the expert and I just have to blindly follow what she suggests. If you're willing to start owning your illness and want a partnership in your treatment, I'd highly suggest Dr. Herman.

Only interested in getting to the next person. Your concerns are your problem with this doctor. Very disappointed.

She thinks clients are drug seekers and does not want to prescribe. Does not listen, caused me extra stress anxiety and depression than I already had because she would argue with me about how I really feel.

I've suffered from severe depression for many years. Dr Herman is the first psychiatrist who was committed to finding a combination of drugs that would make me feel not just better, but actually happy to be alive.

My family member was treated for a year by Dr. Herman. She is the worst physician in any field that we have ever had a relationship with. She truly does not care about her patients' well being or spending time with them to gain an accurate diagnosis. She is most concerned about rushing through an assessment and writing a script. In addition, she was not at all concerned about contacting the therapist also working with this patient. In regards to psychiatric holistic care, this contact is essential.

I am a patient struggling with depression and anxiety. I made an appointment and had to wait 6 weeks to see this Doctor. Just a few hours before my appointment that I desperately needed Dr Herman's office called and cancelled on me due to an error in scheduling. They then offered a make up appointment 5 weeks later. Considering a condition where suicide happens all to often, it's clear that patients are not Dr. Herman's priority. Her schedule is.
