My partner passed away under her care for a laparotomy and resection of 5' of small bowel due to an enterolith. Common complications due to non occlussive mesenteric ischemia caused total infarction and should have treated any probs after surgery as ischemia due to 73% mortality. suffered from septic shock for 48-72 hours before 2nd laparotomy and by thast time small/ large bowel almost totally infarcted. Died from septic shock and almost complete bowel infarction congestive heart failure and acidosis. Didn't read his medical records Did not make herself familiar with patient history and check for things which could be problematic never consulted his primary care doctor or previous surgeon. wait & see for ileus lasting 7 days after surgery patient wasent given iv nourishment for 11 days severe dehydration noted prior to demise. Don't recommend her at all.
