Had a hernia he repaired without a mesh net within 2 months it pushed back out. Also when I went back for follow up he did not see me. I was seen by someone else.

First of all, he does not accept a lot of insurance. I had no choice in him as he was the only one at the hospital on the weekend I had my Gallbladder removed. He HAD me stay in the hospital until Monday night when I had arrived on Saturday morning. Told me he wouldn't preform the procedure as an outpatient if i went home. According to my blood work and my ultrasound it was infected and had to come out immediately. I spoke to other hospitals and it should have been taken care of immediately. Then went to my follow up at his so called "office". It is an airline hanger at Johnson county airport. They waiting room is in the hallway where there are other people for pilot school. His secretary asked me questions in front of them. HIPPA violation. The chairs were patio chairs, the examination room also had patio chairs, there were holes in the ceiling, insulation coming out, a giant window on the door with no covering. I had to lift my shirt so he could see how I was healing with no privacy… or nurse in the room.

Went to the hospital through the ER, Landau was called in for my case, first of all he should make patients aware he does not accept their insurance, second he relies on blood work results more than diagnostic results, was sent home after two days of IV antibiotics without a CT or MRI being done, no written scripts for antibiotics, to then go and see my PCP who ordered a CT to find out the abscess never went away just got bigger and end up back in the ER within 5 days, then had surgery and had my follow up with him in his office which is located in his hanger at the Johnson county airport!!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Dr Landau is one of the most talented man I have had the honor to meet. If I had to have any kind of surgery, this is the Dr. I would choose, his staff is great and always ready to provide you with quality care.

I have no idea how he can still even have a license to practice medicine. He is incompetent. He removed my gallbladder and nearly took my life...worse yet, he didn't care. I returned to the ER within hours or surgery because I had a huge bile leak and major hemorrhage. He pretty much refused to treat me, and just kept asking if I was ready to go home (while I still had an active bile leak,and 5 liters of bile and a gallon of blood in my abdomen). He released me from the hospital after treating only the hemmorhage and completely ignoring the bile leak. I am only alive today because I found a new surgeon who cared. I could go on for days, so I will just say this...If you want to live, go see anyone but Leslie Landau!!!

Dr. Landau performed two hernia surgeries on me in the same location and both times the hernia reoccurred. I will shortly be getting the third one. He inserted a patch during the second surgery but a lump remained afterwards and has grown.

I was flown in on flight for life in drug induced comma after a BAD accident. I NEVER seen or spoke to this Doctor however was billed now begin sued for a consult he claims he made with me. Claims I came in complaining my left leg was hurting, claims I told him I never had prior surgeries, claims he reviewed and seen me and all exrays mri etc and spoke with me...FIRST i didnt walk in to ER complaining of left leg hurting I was flown in on flight for life. Second I was in drug induced coma due to I was fighting the paramedic so they had to knock me out I was given DOUBLE amount of a drug that at 1/2 you can overdoes on. Third I have had 3 prior surgeries. Forth if he looked and viewed ex rays he would have seen I had a open skull fracture from the accident which he claimed I had no head injuries he would have known it was my right leg NOT my LEFT leg he would have seen the surgical scar across my stomach from prior surgery from 1992 if he looked at me and examined me as he claims he… would have also seen the scars on the left side my face where in 1985 I had a TOTAL facial reconstruction where my whole left side face had to be reconstructed due to accident and the pins and plates that are in my skull I believe that would have been a clue of a previous surgery. I was begin DOUBLE billed under 2 different company names for 2 different amounts for his so called service he claims he preformed on me. He also claims he has a signed contract from me stating i agreed to pay him which I have asked for a copy and in the return letter he ask for the dates of service and where he was suspose to have seen me at. So he billing me for services he has no clue when and where he says he seen me at. He also billed me for a charge to come see me that he claims I sought him out...HUm im on life flight in drug induced coma but I'm suspose to have called him and had him come see me I THINK NOT...I have never seen or heard of him until this nightmare has began.

Dr Landau did and appenedectomy on my 14 yr old son He spent about 3 min with him each of teh following 2 mornings Even though my son was constantly vomiting and showing other signs of complications he discharged him form the hospital. Next day we returned to hospital and Dr Landau refused to allow him to see another physician until he evaluated him Consequently my son spent the next TEN hours vomiting while waiting for Dr Landau to appear who then told us it was too late in the day to call in another doctor

I don't know how he can call himself a doctor. He certainly doesn't abide by the hippocratic oath. He performed galbladder surgery on me, and caused life threatening complications, but then refused to treat the complications. I was forced to find another surgeon who lucky for me, was willing to take over my case even with the complications caused by Dr. Landau. I was supposed to have a 1 week recovery from the galbladder surgery, but after the complications caused by Dr. Landau, and his lack of treatment, my recovery ended up taking nearly 5 MONTHS! He had a very poor bedside manner, and was not interested in listening to anything I had to say. He never seemed to be focused on me or my health, he just wanted me out of the hospital at any cost (to me). I would not recommend this surgeon under any circumstances.
