Leslie McDougall, DDS
Dr. Leslie is the director of Optimum Oral Health. She has been a practicing comprehensive care dentist for twenty-five years, as well as a clinical consultant and director of research and development at T.H.E. Design in Austin, Texas (an architectural firm that designed state-of-the-art dental facilities for 25 years). A long-time resident of Dublin, Ohio, Dr. Leslie has designed and built two previous dental facilities. Her commitment to annual continuing education coupled with twenty-five years of clinical experience makes her a respected professional in the dental community.
Beginnings
Dr. Leslie grew up in Mt. Vernon Ohio and attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where she received her Bachelor’s degree in 1978. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1981. Shortly afterward she founded and owned the Fifth Oak Dental Group in Marysville, Ohio, one of the premier general practices of dentistry …in Central Ohio.
Change
She sold the practice to have the time needed to complete her intensive training in sedation and implant dentistry. Dr. Leslie studied sedation at St. Joseph Hospital in Patterson, New Jersey and implants at the Midwest Oral Implant Institute. Until just recently, she practiced with William D. Hooper, DDS in Upper Arlington, Ohio.
In 2006, she opened Optimum Oral Health (O2H), her new dental facility for the 21st-century, adult patient who expects advanced, hi-tech, comprehensive dentistry in a personalized, individualized manner.
Dr. Leslie is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Central Ohio Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Balance
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Leslie loves to travel, play golf, and cook. She is a member of Dublin’s Women Philanthropic Group, Dublin Rotary, Dublin and Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and Worthington Christian Church. She is married to Tom, a professional in dental sales. Their daughter Lauren is an eighth grader at Columbus Academy.
