Dr. Leslie Lopez Montgomery, MD

Dr Montgomery was kind thoughtful and clearly explained my options. She even called me while she was on vacation when my biopsy results were worse than we hoped. She provided guidance and has answered every question whenever I needed.

It’s been 10 years but after what was a “routine” lumpectomy was immediately left with a massive seroma. After a few attempts to drain the fluid was told did not make sense to continue. Eventually, breast became like cement. Doctors often assume it’s an implant, say the never saw anything like that, and the only suggestion for relief was to remove the breast. Imagine needing a mastectomy to rectify a botched lumpectomy. Due to Cardiac history did not opt for another survey. Have learned to live with the deformity & discomfort all these years.

I was scared and confused when diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Dr. Montgomery put my mind at ease and quickly scheduled the lumpectomy and one lymph node was removed. She explains everything thoroughly and answers any questions you may have. For the first visit I would recommend writing down your quesitons however Dr. Montgomery answered them all without me having to use my list. I did bring my daughter along because my mind was too cloudly in disbelief to focus. After surgery I felt little to no discomfort! I would highly recommend Dr. Leslie Montgomery and all in her staff were caring, knowledgeable and efficient as well. Thank you Dr. Montgomery and staff! Carole B.

Dr. Montgomery was amazing!

Not sure what those other patients were talking about but she spent a lot of time with me. Great bedside manner. Her staff couldn't be nicer. They were always on top of all of my appointments. Dr. Montgomery personally called me several times with all of my results. Excellent surgeon!

Less than five minutes with a patient 3 months after surgery is unacceptable. This person would not go an extra mile, no wonder she left Montefiore Einstein.

She and her staff were both discourteous and dismissive

Pompous, Arrogant, Snooty -- 3 words that describe Dr. Montgomery. She will definitely bring down the quality of care at Hackensack Medical Center. If you can find another breast surgeon, you will be better off.
