Dr. Leslie Harriet Perla, MD

Had a February 2 , 2023 appointment scheduled for zoom. Dr Perla was a no show. While I waited on my computer via zoom , I called her office four times via my cell over a two hour period. Her staff said stay on zoom . Dr Perla is running behind schedule. Her office did not call to apologize or reschedule. Instead, I received a message the next morning via automated email stating I missed my appointment. I was 5 minutes early to zoom and held for 2 hours. My iPhone call logs show no missed calls from their office. Just me calling 4 times. Unbelievable….

Inaccurate diagnosis, told us mild case of UC and had seen a lot worse, 3 weeks later was forced to have emergency colorectomy surgery at the Cleveland Clinic after going being admitted to another different hospital prior. Took her well over 8hrs after the request from to fax over medical records to the admitting hospital. Never called to check in on us as her client, knowing that we were admitted for something directly connected to her scope of work we were consulting with her for in the first place....Very complicated, brief and short narratives/descriptions on colonoscopy, only 2 photos on her repots. Our second and 3rd opinion had well over 10 photos and very detailed description of findings. Prescribes the worse and cheapest prep product for the colonoscopy per the other GI professionals we consulted with.

Dr. Prompt, straight to the point, very detail oriented, ask a lot of questions, talks really fast (ask her to slow down), knowledgeable, get back to you about your results quick, types a lot, needs a little balance between figuring out the problem and making a connection with the patient. Overall she knows what she is doing and she means business about getting to the root of your issues. Don't feel intimidated by the lack of eye contact, humor and smile she is just getting to the root of the problem. Staff is OK but the office manager is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and shows a lot of care towards the patients.

What happen for 4.5 Hours nobody would tell my girl friend what was going on. She was worried about why I was in there 4.5 Hr. And they would not tell what was going on for 4.5 hours After I woke up They let my girl friend come to see me after I had some words with staff (not friendly .) Talked to Doctor Perla was rude and did not seem to care about any explanation what happen. I have not been right since not good 5years later. Not been able to work since.

Dr Perla is the most qualified MD that I've ever visited. She listened to my complaints and methodically orders all tests needed in identifying my problem. She's confident and thorough in finding and treating GI problems. She was prompt in notifying me of all tests donen

This doctor has been terrific to me. She will not rest till she finds a solution and she'll give another doctor a piece of her mind if he or she is not doing their job. You can't find a better ally in the medical world!

Relies more on diagnostic testing than listening to me and my symptoms. Terrible bedside manner, very abrupt. Finding a new GI doctor.
