Dr. Leslie Anderson Schipper, DO

Rushed in and out within 2 minutes by this doctor. Did not care what I had to say about a mental health issue and refused to give me guidance on where to go next. “I am not qualified to make this decision” is what she told me then left the room after I waited for a half hour

BEWARE!!!!! I WAS a Patient for years (early 2000s). And looking back on it now my health has done nothing but decline since I started seeing DR Schipper. New West is just a patient mill and they push pills for big pharma that they don’t know anything about (side effects, with drawl symptoms, etc..). And when it comes to prescription refills, New West will deny drug refills and will not contact you to tell you why they were denied. You will have to call and find out what you need to do to in order to get it refilled. Even if it is just cholesterol medication, which ironically if you stop taking prevents them from being able to take the blood test needed in order to refill it. Which is complete stupidity in my opinion. The doctors and staff will treat you like a drug addict. So even if you are having major with drawl symptoms and have to go to the emergency room THEY DON”T CARE. And the second you have an issue and complain they will DISSMISS you from there practice. You can call… to complain and no one will call you back to try and fix the issue or apologize for their lack of communication and disorganization. The call I received back was to let me know that I was no longer welcome at their practice Per DR Schipper. I guess one strike and YOUR OUT! There actions or lack of action shows me that they are an uncompassionate and incompetent group of doctors, MA, and staff that just want your money and truly don’t care about your health and well-being. To top it all off, they tried to tell me in the end that I never submitted a refill request. (New West is trying to switch the blame) Even though I have multiple VMs from New West staff telling me they received it but it was it denied because I was due for blood work. And I have a confirmation from Walgreen's saying it was submitted to New West too. You would think that if the practice was Professional, Competent and Caring it would have been able to deal with this situations differently/better. But instead they will just tell you they don’t want to see you anymore. I am doctor-less now. No one deserves to be treated the way I was by New West. The patients’ health should be there top priority. I highly recommend staying away from any of the New West Physicians groups.

I absolutely love Dr. Schipper. Her caring spirit and knowledge make her superb.

Dr. Schipper is personable and spends plenty of time with me answering questions etc. She seems genuinely concerned about my health.

I visited the office location on County Line. They forgot about me & I ended up waiting 45 minutes to see the doctor. They then forgot to log the labwork she ordered (or perhaps she didn't order it when she said she would) so I waited another 30 minutes to get my bloodwork completed. Because they forgot about me, Dr. Schipper was rushed and spent a total of 5 minutes with me. They also allow pharmaceutical reps to hover in the waiting room AND in the hallway to the exam rooms, which is unsettling and and invasion of patient privacy. 2 hours for a first time visit ensures that I will not return.To make matters worse, they did not call with the results of a sample collected. Upon calling them, they said the sample could not be tested due to a mistake on their part. However, I could just come back in and give another. The office manager was offended to hear that I would not give them a 2nd chance. Finally, since the sample was not tested, the office manager assured us they would not… bill for it. Sure enough, I've received a bill for it and they are again put off and offended that we dared to call on yet another mistake on their part. Truly the most unprofessional doctor's office ever dealt with.
