Dr. Leslie F Seecoomar, MD

I was gunshy after a bad experience with anesthesia administered during a prior colonoscopy (with a different doctor) years ago. Dr. Seecoomar really listened to my concerns, and even took the time to call me back and talk to me at length when I called back two additional times. Long story short, the colonoscopy administered by Dr. Seecoomar went off without a hitch, and I did not have ANY problem with the anesthesia. I could not have been happier with his service.

Was introduced to Dr. Seecoomar some fifteen years ago by my PCP. Several generations of my family have a history of Crohn's Disease, colorectal cancer and esophageal issues. Dr. Seecoomar is an outstanding diagnostician and clinician and my family and I rely on his expertise and good judgement to monitor our wellness. His warm and friendly demeanor, bedside manner, knowledge and experience make him our "go-to-doctor-of-choice" for all matters related to any and all upper and lower G.I. tract issues.

Really listens and takes time with you. Compassionate and at the same time respectful.

I went to see Dr. Seecoomar in the summer of 2009 when I was approximately 30 weeks pregnant. I was unable to go to the bathroom for weeks and I was using multiple suppositiories and enemas each day (which I should not have been doing) because I was in so much pain. I did not eat solid food for the last trimester of my pregnancy. Dr. Seecamoor said to eat more blueberries, blackberries and figs" You need more fiber. Well things got significantly worse and I went to another gastroenterlogist because I did not believe Dr. Seecamor that I was just constipated. Sure enough - I had a complete bowel obstruction resulting from a tumor associated with non-hodgkins lymphoma. My advice to Dr. Seecamor - next time a pregnant lady comes in your office crying due to pain - listen to her....maybe there is something actually wrong with her. Luckily - I did not perforate my bowel due to a lack of diagnosis and I did not lose my baby. Dr. Seecamor taught me to always trust myself - I knew… something was wrong.

Dr. Seecoomar is a highly trained and caring professional. He is easy to understand, and completely explains all procedures and protocols for treatment.He already came highly recommended, and I can well understand why.Excellent doctor......
