Dr. Leslie E. Strickland

I went to her because she was closer to where I live. She did nothing but criticize test that had been done on me in the past, vitamins that have been advised to take, and spoke to me like I was an idiot. She ran her mouth for most of the appointment, and criticize everything I had to say. Then she had the nerve to ask me if I had any questions. Nope, I wouldn't recommend her to anyone for anything. Now I have to go look for a new doctor, after waiting months to see her.

If you want a compassionate and caring doctor, do not go to this person. First visit was good as she seemed to listen and want to help, but all visits afterward were stressful and unproductive. She does not like to listen to what you have to say, but rather likes to be the one talking. If asked a question about my health, she doesn't let you finish, but talks over you. One time she told me how I made her feel...really? If I could give her a negative 5 rating I would. The reviews she received prior to coming to Canton, NY will confirm what I am saying

I've seen Strickland 3 times since she moved to Canton. I have found her to be a very approachable and caring doctor, one who spends much more time with me than my past internists. Highly recommended.

Recently moved to the area and needed a GP to continue medications I’d been prescribed for years. All medical records were forwarded to the clinic months in advance. She clearly did not read through them because during the visit she was recommending medications I had already been prescribed in the past that didn’t work and asking me dates and things that were all in the records (also she was skimming through the papers during my appointment). She was extremely arrogant and stated she wouldn’t continue a medication I had been on for years for a condition that had been diagnosed by and managed by a specialist - she (a GP) said the specialist was wrong and prescribed the wrong medication. She demonstrated that she had little understanding of pharmacokinetics when she told me a medication I had been prescribed by a sleep specialist was not appropriate because it had a short half-life. The opposite is true, to sleep you want fast acting a medication with a short half life so you can fall… asleep and not wake up drowsy the next morning.

I had a appointment for my son and rest of my family for dr Strickland to become our family dr. Most unprofessional arrogant and incompetent . made false accusations which later lead to cps coming to my door. Thankfully I proved my innocence and prior complaint recorded to cph about her.

Dr strickland had me in tears and stuttering over my words. I asked if I could step out for a moment. Her responce was yes but you will have to make a new appointment to come back another day.

She spent 45 minutes with me asking me questions patiently until she found the cause of the way i was feeling. I found her very spiritual very caring and very knowledgeable.

She is the most arrogant, know-it-all, poor excuse of a dr. Thankfully, got a call from Chemawa this a.m. to reschedule my appointment because she had left the clinic. Happy day for me, and my caller laughed at my joy of her being gone!! There is a God!

She was my VA doctor. Initial visit was fine and I thought we would do well together. Other visits progressively got worse. I expect at the VA doctors will be rushed but on top of that she really doesn't seem to like her job. It's a pay check and I think that's all. I don't like feeling like I am a bother. I've left her as my doctor because I can't stand people who smile in your face and than are passive aggressive. I'd rather you give a d*mn, do a good job, realize the stress in my life is certainly greater than yours and skip the phony smile.

Very frustrated and disappointed with her. Seems arrogant, unable to really hear my concerns. Fortunately I was able to change providers which is not thar easy at the VA. Many other veterans have also changed from her care I have learned. I hope she learns how to respect others especially those of us who have served.
