This neurosurgeon is the absolute best and he spent moments from birth,well into my twenties to treat me. I was born with closed spina bifida occulta with a tethered spinal cord and he performed a lamenectomy to free my spine. I am thankful for him every day i wake.

Brilliant doctor. He has been mine for 25 years. He diagnosed me a few months after birth when everyone else pushed my parents away and told them there was nothing wrong with me (I have hydrocephalus) and a few years ago he saved my life. While you don't have much one on one time with him because he is in high demand, his team is attentive and great. I trust them because he does. He is a little blunt but that has never mattered to me or my parents. He has kept me alive, that is what really matters to me. Only bad thing about him is that he is so good I don't trust anyone else. I will continue to see him until he retires, then I will be going to a doctor that he personally recommends.

This man destroyed my son. His surgery failed, but he refused to admit it or fix it. As a result, what could have been an easy fix turned into a nightmare. My son is crippled directly as a result of what this man did (and refused to fix). His staff simply told my son he had to "suck up" the pain and vomiting due to septic meningitis. They knew the vomiting was due to this and now I know septic meningitis is a huge red light for a failed surgery of this type. My 16 year old went from a healthy 145 pounds to 107, and he was told to suck it up. They even tried to cover it up by altering images that prove this. I could tell you more detail, but I will spare you. If you have made appointment for surgery with this man, my suggestion to you would be, run. We did find a surgeon who knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it as well as he could, but the damage had already been done. I pray you find success.

My son was born with spina bifida and fluid on the brain and Dr. Sutton did his back repair and VP shunt. A few weeks later my sons Chiari Malformation had gotten worse and needed to be decompressed. He is only 6 weeks old Dr. Suttom did tell is that he had not performed this surgery on such a young child but he did amd our baby is recovering still at CHOP. I hope that Dr. Sutton is proud of himself for doing the surgery on such a young child as we are grateful to have our baby. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Dr. Sutton.

Twenty years ago Dr. Sutton saved my son who had an AVM. I mentally thank him every day for what he did. He is a brilliant, devoted, caring man who also happens to be a phenominal doctor. I do not possess the eloquence of diction to convey the gratitude that I feel for having him operate on my son. He exemplifies excellent medicine. Thank you, Dr. Sutton.

My son had his surgery at CHOP with Dr Sutton Chairi Malformation repair had a lot of complications. Dr Sutton never sees his patients post op in the hospital just his fellows. Ended up with chronic Head pain for 10 months and needed a VP shunt. Transferred to Hopkins found out didn't need a shunt was told he had a huge cyst and a nonrepaired Chairi Malformation ended up needing the whole surgery redone. Now for the first time in 10 months he is pain free. Dr Sutton just told me its behavioral or theirs nothing wrong. SHould of gone to Hopkins in the first place.

Dr Sutton performed a chiari decompression surgery on my 18 year old daughter's brain. He did an excellant job and his confidence put us at ease. He is quick to the point when you meet him, as well as after the surgery, but he is the best!!! I had a few simple questions after we got home and I got either him or another CHOP neurosurgeon on the phone within a minute. Dr Sutton is excellant at what he does and I highly recommend him. CHOP is an outrageous facility and I was so glad my daughter was there and that DR. Sutton performed her surgery!!!!

he saved my life. enough said.have comfort that he is experienced in performing complex brain surgeries in dire situations.

He might be bold, aggressive and blunt but he is by far the best. Thanks to him he has given me confidence that my daughter is going to be just fine!
