Total Knee replacement in Dec 2017 still have pain and unable walk without a severe limp. must use cane which I did not need before surgery.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Thomas 15 years ago when I broke my ankle. He did my surgery and placed 7 screws and a plate. That was at North Kansas City Hospital. A year later i had surgery to have the hardware removed and he did an excellent job both times! A month ago, I had Hip replacement surgery at Liberty Hospital by Dr Thomas. Come to find out that he loves to do this type of surgery. My surgical experience with Liberty hospital and Dr Thomas was top notch! I anticipated more pain than i experienced. Dr Thomas and his team in his office and at Liberty hospital were fabulous to work with. The Ortho nurse navigator was super! I am so glad that i went to Dr Thomas for this surgery. It has been a great experience. I am a 55 year old nurse with 32 yrs of nursing experience, so I knew what the surgery was like since observing in nursing school. I was a little nervous but did not need to be. I recommend Dr Thomas and Liberty hospital for any orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Thomas is a wonderful physician -- kind, professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I like him so much I've referred my family to him. He now works at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO. And, his staff is WONDERFUL!!

Dr. Thomas has done both total knee replacements, diagnosed a vascular necrosis in one of my hips years later and now I'm looking a eventually having both hips replaced. He's also been the surgeon that diagnosed then removed a "bakers cyst" on one of my wrist and finally a weird bump that suddenly appeared on one of my shoulders ( I forget his diagnoses on that). I think he's a very friendly doctor, seems very busy all the time but if you make it apparent you really want to understand your diagnosis and prognosis, I've found he will actually sit down and explain both in whatever terms you require. After several of my surgeries he made it a point to explain as much as my waiting parents could handle. I've found his staff a little less hurried but with a few exceptions...very friendly. I want to add though, it has been nearly 10 yrs since my last surgery so everything may have changed since then.

Dr. Thomas doesn't listen or answer questions- didn't give me post-op instructions, had to call.
