Dr. Lester George Brown

As a very thorough physician, Dr. Brown listens to my concerns and presents a care plan with my best interest at heart. He is very knowledgeable and takes time to educate me about my health to facilitate my wellness. I feel that he genuinely cares about my health. I would recommend Dr. Brown to my friends and family.

I have been going to Dr. Brown in the Kannapolis office run by Physicians assistants. I was happy until the PA Amanda ordered an antibiotic which the CVS pharmacy suggested I do not take because of my allergy to penicillin. The pharmacy called the office to get another antibiotic ordered on Friday because I had an ear ache from a ruptured ear drum. My ear was bleeding Amanda went home on that Friday without ordering another antibiotic so I suffered with an ear ache Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. When I called the office on Monday I was told Amanda was off and they ordered an antibiotic for me after I put up a big fuss because I was not going to Wait until Tuesday. When I made a complaint about Amanda she lied and said I refused to take the drug and that is NOT true. The pharmacist said I should not take the drug. I suffered with an ear ache for 6 to 7 days. I sent Amanda a message and called and she refused to answer any of my calls. She is telling a horrible lie and… the Dr. Believes her. All the doctor had to do was say to me he was sorry and he will talk to Amanda and I would have been happy and would have not left the practice, but the Dr. Stated "AMANDA DID NOTHING WRONG". This is why I cannot let it go. I am following up on two more complaint options. I have nothing bad to say about the doctor just his PA who thinks she is a doctor.

I would give a 5 star rating because he is truly a great doctor, but the wait times for him are tremendously ridiculous. A portion of the staff are knowledgable and friendly. There are those of the staff that have no clue, don't care, and are lazy. The phone lines are also an issue. Sometimes you wait on hold for 45 minutes. I had one day where I held for 30 minutes only for them to hang up on me accidentally and on call back I held another 30 minutes. He is the only doctor at this practice. The others are PAs and NPs. Normally I wouldn't care, but forget about seeing him on a sick day. So, on a sick day the NP and PAs are the worst. They never have a clue and I have left them only to have to he seen in the hospital hours later for severe problems that if they would have listened my problems wouldn't have become larger and more dangerous. If it wasn't for that he would receive 5 stars!

A doctor who really listens.

Dr. Brown and his staff are awesome. Because of there awesome care, I have lost thirty pounds, controlled Blood Pressure, and stress reduction. I am thriving finally after years of illness and depression.

Been with you for a long time now Dr. B. . .. . . I know your really great and a hard worker . . (no doubt in my mind) i'm here if you ever want to catch up . . . be good sir . .

This physician should be the "model" for who and what a physician should be: compassionate, patient, understanding, a partner in your care, respectful, a good listener, caring, and having an ever present smile, laughter and a terrific sense of humor. Best of all, he's very humble and never comes across as being inpatient, in a hurry, or snooty. He's been my provider for the past 13 years, and I intend to continue seeing him until his practice is over. I have and would highly recommend other people to see him. He's good as they come!!

I am thankful that I found Dr. Brown. He was my Dr. when he first came to NC. I moved away and have had plenty of uncaring, incompetent Doctors since then. I recently moved back closer to the area and Dr. Brown is still the same caring, competent, professional Doctor that he has always been. The office wait time is extended, but; well worth the care you will receive. My health is complicated now and I have faith that God is going to work through Dr. Brown to accurately diagnose and treat my condition. Dr. Brown has morals and values and money doesn't dictate how he cares for his Patients.

Dr. Brown has an excellent bedside manner. He stays up on the latest in medicine for all people. He is very approachable and makes if easy to talk to him about anything. He cares for the whole person. You are not just a number on a chart.
