This is an exceptional Specialist. She catches dangerous and rare conditions (commonly missed by others) and applies early aggressive treatment, eg. for Behcet's Disease, Autoimmune hearing loss, Uveitis, Iritis, Paget's Disease, Raynaud's Phenomenon, and of course basic Rheum diseases of Osteoporosis, Rheum. Arthrits, and SLE (Lupus). If a fight is needed to get coverage for necessary Specialty meds such as Biologics, they rise to the occasion with remarkable proficiency and success, sometimes invoking U.S. Congr. casework for federal benefits under Medicare plans and USDOL/ERISA Employer Sponsored. Other Providers typically move on to Plan B/C/D/E or whatever the Insurance says.

Highly thorough in monitoring symptoms, meds, labs, imaging, and other Providers' reports. You can't do better.

I have been a patient of Dr. Barbosa since 2002. If she was such an awful doctor I would not have stayed with her. In fact, I came to her after having experienced a bad doctor. The previous bad remarks sound like a fabrication. Dr. Barbosa is the most caring doctor I have ever known in my life and she truly cares about me. So please disregard the previous comments - they are unfounded.

I was shocked & disappointed by defamatory remarks of Edward F., which must be removed A.S.A.P. It turns out he is not a client of Dr. Barbosa; at least not in the past 8 years. She handles very complex disease conditions with state of the art care & the staff bend over backward for prior auths of Specialty drugs as needed.
