Dr. Li-Herng Liu, MD

Very knowledgeable and understanding doctor. I've seen him on serveral appointments. Excellent staff.

This office is completely disorganized, from the front counter, to the doctor visit. We were told by the counter staff that comprehensive medical records would need to be submitted to the doctor for review so he could determine if my wife could be accepted as a patient, so she spent many hours compiling all of the records that we had access to from her San Antonio doctor, and I dropped them off at the clinic on Corsica St.. I called after about a week to find that she had been accepted as a patient and I set her appointment. Upon arriving for the appointment 20 minutes early(required) with most of our paperwork already completed it was well over an hour to see Dr. Liu. When we met the doctor, he was completely unprepared for the appointment and had no knowledge of all of the medical history we had delivered. He left the room, located the medical documentation, and told us that it would take some time to go through it. He had no knowledge of my wife’s previous provider, so he… had no X-rays or documentation from that doctor. I don’t believe that I have ever seen a doctor less prepared for an appointment considering all of the information that is required from a patient prior to even being approved as a patient. He also let us know that he is unwilling to prescribe hydrocodone to me patients because it would hit a limit by the state that would trigger an investigation, and that is a huge disservice to his patients who need relief. We will not return to Dr. Liu or his clinic.

I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF DR. LIU FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE LUCKY TO HAVE FOUND SUCH A VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND COMPASSIONATE PAIN MANAGEMENT PHYSICIAN. HE TAKES THE TIME TO DISCUSS ANY TREATMENT PLANS AND ANSWERS ANY QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS YOU MAY HAVE. I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DR. LIU TO ANY FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT MAY EVER NEED A PAIN MANAGEMENT DOCTOR. Melissa Quezada

I have been a patient of Dr. Liu's for about 3.5 years. I have chronic nerve pain in my left, paralyzed arm shoulder down. Dr, Liu is the only doctor I have seen that took the time to know the nerve pain problem in my left hand. To me personally, he is an amazing physician that is so involved in helping and caring for his patients. Dr. Liu is and will be the only doctor I will ever go to for this type of problem, that is how much faith I have in Dr, Liu. Not everything worked on the pain that he tried, but he did not give up until he found, with great results, the medicine that works on the pain and that I can live with. Dr. Liu, thank you for all things you have done for and with me.

I have seen Dr. Liu for years. I have since moved from the Corpus Christi area. I drive 3 hours to see him when I need to. I suffer from chronic pain of both knees and lower back. Dr. Liu has worked wonders with my knees. I would recommend Dr. Liu.
