Dr. Li Zhang, MD

I met Dr. Zhang after I was diagnosed with cancer of one kidney, pelvis, and lungs, in 2021. It’s been about 7 months now. Throughout this time, Dr. Zhang has been a wonderful physician to work with. Dr. Zhang is someone who honestly cares about her people, her patients, and I have observed this about her since I first started seeing her. Dr. Zhang will go to bat to help her patients over hurdles. She is very concerned about keeping you on track, and keeping watch over your progress. She even got a bit cross once because I was missing some treatments, and her concern for my care was such that she kind of lectured me on it, but this is not a complaint – rather, it demonstrates her level of concern and her investment in her patients’ care, and her desire to see them well. She is informative, always has helpful suggestions to aid in your care, and she works to keep you invested in your own care. I never feel rushed or like I am “just another patient” to Dr. Zhang. I find her interest… encouraging and comforting in my battle. In my case, I am expected to fully recover from this affliction, so I am blessed and very lucky in that regard. But even if this were a battle to the death, I would be comfortable and confident having Dr. Zhang watching over my care till the very end. I have appreciated her and I’m thankful she got paired up with my case. I’ve seen a few doctors in my time, and she is one of only a couple that I really felt were outstanding physicians. I think you would be hard-pressed to find someone like Dr. Zhang.
