I waited an hour to be seen. when asking the front desk they said he always runs late and they knew before I even checked in and never said anything, when I complained I was treated so badly. they make comments behind my back but loud enough for me to hear. then when I saw the doctor, he was so unprofessional. He didn't even have me put on a gown asked me to drop my pants to look at the cyst on my groin. he barely looked at it and told me I would need to be put under and have surgery. comments by the staff continued. I was so uncomfortable, I left there in tears. I called my primary doctor who put me on antibiotics and gave me instructions and the cyst went away. I have NEVER in my life experienced such rudeness and disrespect. It was bad enough that the staff was rude, but then for the doctor to not only allow this but to join in on it was just appalling. I never do this, but I am going to add this review to as many sites as I can. I wouldn't want anyone else to go thru this

I have twice been scheduled for a colonoscopy with Dr. Haveran. The first time I was called a few days before the procedure and informed it was cancelled and would be rescheduled. Fair enough. The second procedure was cancelled when this doctor's office staff couldn't be bothered to call in advance to let me know where and when the procedure would take place. So I spent all weekend fasting, drinking horrible bowel prep stuff and sitting on the can only to show up at 7 in the morning at Dr. Haveran's office and nobody is there. With no call prior to the procedure, I am astounded by the basic lack of professionalism an courtesy of the staff of this doctor. How is it possible that you NOT contact patients prior to a procedure? Why no written conformation or instructions? It seems that my health is really an afterthought to these people, it makes me wonder: if they are too incompetent to follow basic accepted medical procedure such as informing the patient about where and when to be as… well as the preparation needed (something I had to figure out myself) then what else are they missing? I have no idea whether Dr. Haveran is a good colorectal surgeon as his staff never bothered to extend the basic medical or social courtesies that would have allowed me to partake of his expertise. I'm instead going to look for a doctor who has people working for him that are understanding and appreciative of the needs of patients; something that had been made very clear to me that this particular surgeon does not have.

I had emergency surgery to repair a burst colon. I was in septic shock. Dr. Haveran did that surgery, and my reversal surgery. He knows his stuff, and did a great job.

Dr. Haveran performed a slightly complicated surgery on me. He and his staff were very professional. He answered all my questions before, directly after, and after the followup. he's also a pretty funny guy, made me feel completely at ease. Highly recommend him.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Haveran and his staff. Recommended to me by another surgeon, Dr. Haveran successfully brought closure to a very complicated issue I had which other surgeons felt unable to address. Following the procedure, he was the first person I saw when opening my eyes. I learned from HIM the details of what happened in the operating room and his follow-up treatments are the reason I am able to live the life I want to live right now. A sea captain by profession, my time on land is difficult to plan. Dr. Haveran's staff have been extremely accommodating and an absolute joy to know. I'm so very fortunate to have met Dr. Haveran and go out of my way to return to the Cape for his care.

Completely dissatisfied! I found this doctor to be extremely unprofessional and discourteous. I get better service at my local convenience store. After having difficulties getting appropriate care with this physician and surgical group I made the decision to go to a real research facility and paid someone to drive me to Boston. One physician that I visited agreed that the inexperience and lack of knowledge and care I received was a disgrace. In general, the care on Cape Cod just isn't adequate. But this guy? WOW!

Referred to Dr H for urgent care recently. His professioal competence and caring manner outstanding. Later learned his personal story featured in Cape Cod newspaper back in 2011 relating his long journey into medicine and surgery. An inspiration to all young people.
