Dr. Liboria Buscemi, MD

I recently moved uptown and needed to find a new dermatologist. Dr. Buscemi was highly recommended to me by a friend. I have a family history of skin cancer and was concerned about a few spots. Dr. Buscemi was professional and thorough in examining my skin and addressed each of my concerns efficiently and with care. The staff was also friendly and courteous and my appointment started on time. I had an excellent overall experience.

From start to finish, my experience with Dr. Buscemi and her staff was seamless. I was greeted with a warm welcome when checking in. Dr. Buscemi saw me right on time. More importantly, Dr. Buscemi walked me through my entire procedure anticipating where I might feel discomfort. She explained everything that I would experience and her approach was upbeat and positive. I would highly recommend Dr. Buscemi.

I was sent by my primary doctor to have a mole inspected by Dr. Buscemi. She examined me for less than 5 minutes. When I asked her about skin card, she proceeded with a hard sell of plastic surgery or botox. Her open disdain for the natural aging process seems unethical when she is advertised as a dermatologist. She exuded arrogance and an acute appetite for selling expensive treatments.

Medically not competent and incredibly rude and unkind to children and adults

I've been treking from way far west side to way far east side for almost 20 years to see Dr. Buscemi. I canceled yesterday afternoon due to the impending storm. When I called to re-schedule, her staff was monosyballic and rude - implied judgment, for sure. Her reception staff is always, pretty rude, but that was it. I'm finding a new doctor.

The doctor acted as if It was an inconvenience for me being there.. Staff was very rude and Office manager acted as if she was too good to be bothered.. I don't care how close your office is to me.. I'm seeing a real doctor In a real doctors office

I saw Dr. Buscemi a few weeks ago and she was excellent. She is professional and her office staff is helpful and efficient. I will recommend her to all of my friends!

The receptionist is rude and obnoxious when I called to make an appointment. While I was explaining my situation, she interrupted me constantly. I do not think I was able to finish a sentence for the entire conversation. I made an appointment, finally. I waited for 30 minutes in the waiting room. I could see the Dr. laughing and conversing with office staff while I waited. After 30 minutes past my appointment time I was escorted to a room where I waited for another 15 minutes. The Dr. was incredibly dismissive of the huge rash, large open wound, and intense swelling and pain on my body. She said she thought it was from a plant and that I should go back to where I think I had contact with this plant, take pictures with my phone, and then google them. She did not dress my OPEN WOUND before leaving the office. She did not refill the script of steroid cream. I had to ask the receptionist for a large bandage before leaving. The receptionist looked shocked and took me back in the room… and carefully dressed my open wound. The Dr. seemed very rushed and was dismissive of my very specific questions and told me I would be fine. There was no follow up after my appointment. Disgusting.

Dr. Alison Gruen is a great Doctor. I have visited her in the past month twice . She is thorough, and has a great bedside manor. Additionally she really takes an interest in your care and is very pleasant as well as making you feel comfortable. The staff is average and lacks "customer service skills"

I recently went to see Dr. Buscemi as a new patient. She was able to answer all of my questions and gave me treatment for my skin condition. Her office is very clean and her staff is super efficient. I would definitely go back to see her and would recommend her to my friends and family.
