I went to Dr. Aghdam specifically because I needed a prescription for progesterone. She was very nice, but she talks far too fast and--worst of all--ordered $6000 worth of blood tests done by Kai Laboratories (in-house but based in Dallas)!!!! If that's not bad enough, $4000 of the "tests" were drug tests she didn't tell me she ordered and I did not authorize. I don't take any medications so don't know why she would have had these tests done, especially without my knowledge and consent, and it seems drug tests are pretty standard so shouldn't cost $4000. I also had to go to two visits with Dr. Aghdam (one for the initial consult/blood test and one for her to read the blood test results to me), so her office double-charged for "consults" she repeated at the second visit (like a "dietary consult" to discuss my eating habits at BOTH visits). While she gave me the prescription I asked for, she also recommended hundreds of dollars of her own, in-house medications/supplements (I only… purchased one of them, only to read my lab report later and discover I wasn't actually "low" on that indicator after all), as well as a medication I had to take to a special pharmacy to be compounded. I paid another $150 at her office for the hormone test. Overall, I was charged THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of dollars for two speedy office visits, excessive medications/supplements I don't need, and the prescription for progesterone I actually requested. This is obviously not sustainable for my family so I will not be able to return to her when my prescription runs out.

Dr Aghdam is the BEST. Awesome office staff, easy appointment making, they call back ASAP with results, she takes time and doesn't rush you out of her office. I highly recommend her to anyone. She's the BEST Dr I have been to in years!!!!!!

I was looking for an Naturopathy Dr and came across Dr. Lida Aghdam website. I call and booked an appointment. This is the best decision I ever made concerning my health. Everything I was doing that wrong-she diagnosed me and made a plan for me and I am well on my way to getting off all the medicine that I was previously prescribed. Dr. Aghdam is very caring. I highly recommend her.

My initial visit was due to symptoms of fatigue, not sleeping well at night, PMS, hitting a wall around 3pm each day, etc. Dr. Aghdam, right off the bat, said it was my thyroid and prescribed a thyroid medication. I explained I had been on hormone replacement therapy in the past under a previous doctor which she was critical of that doctor and adamant that it was my thyroid. She ordered a blood test, gave me a couple of things to eliminate in my diet and sent me on my way. At my next appt. we discussed blood work in which my thyroid tested normal. My symptoms had not changed. I had to request a hormone test. (Saliva test I had to purchase for $150 from her and submit to my insurance ~ still waiting to see if I will be reimbursed). Went back a third time for results of hormone testing. Sure enough my estradiol and progesterone where so low they were not in the "normal range" and testosterone was one point away from not being in the "normal range". She was not concerned… about estradiol or progesterone (even though the symptoms I was having were directly related to lack of progesterone). She prescribed a testosterone cream. I also enquired about consistently having very low blood pressure, lack of hemoglobin in my blood (to the point that Carter Blood Care rejects my blood when I try to donate) and always on the cold side. Again no concern ~ "that was good and normal" according to Dr. Aghdam. The kicker is when I received a bill from her office there was a $150 charge for psychological testing. I was confused because never once did I tell her I was blue, depressed, not motivated, ect. Then I recalled my last visit when I got hormone test results ~ her front office staff asked me to fill out a questionnaire. I found it odd because the questions were related to depression, but I thought maybe she had all her patients fill it out to keep in their file for reference. Never once did her office staff nor Dr. Aghdam mention "the test" I would be charged for. I have never been asked to come in to discuss the results of "the test" either. They gave this same test to another patient in the waiting room that came in after me ~ again I thought maybe they have all their patients fill this out for their file. Wonder if that patient knew they were taking a psychological test?! I usually do not write reviews but I don't want anyone else to be deceived by this doctor nor misdiagnosed. And if it matters to you, I waited 1 hour past my appointment time to see her on one occasion and then had maybe ten minutes of her time. She talks a good talk and is energetic ~ for those that hang on to ever word or diagnosis a doctor gives as truth ~ you'll love her. It's worth knowing that I was trying to choose between seeing Dr. Aghdam and another doctor for the symptoms I was having. I prayed that God would give me discernment as to which doctor to go see. I really didn't feel He was directing me one way or the other so I went to Dr. Aghdam b/c a friend had referred her. I believe what I experienced after seeing Dr. Aghdam was God's discernment!

I recommend Dr Agdam because of her knowledge of hormones. I had severe hot flashes that turned into hot waves, & other symptoms that were just disturbing & with the Dr's recommendation of a saliva test, biodentical hormones, magnesium ' eat certain foods I feel fantastic ... the weight is coming off & I'm myself again. I couldn't thank her enough!

Bottom line is that if YOU are willing to change and do what Dr. Aghdam says, then you will get well. She gives you choices of treatment. At first there may be a detox time for your body, but if you will determine to do what she says,control your appetite, diet and lifestyle,then diabetes, hypertension, obesity,& other diseases can be things of the past for you. She has changed my life completely for the better. Dr. Lida Aghdam is a professional, wonderful doctor.

I went to see Dr. Aghdam for health reasons. I am overweight with diabetes and high blood pressure. She pushed her products on me offering a cash discount. The products did nothing for me only making me worse. She gave me HCG and I almost died. Do not go to this doctor she will only make your condition worse.

Dr. Aghdam is a rare gem in the field of physicians. She always takes the time necessary to listen to me. She specializes in alternative health care. She will never over medicate you and feels that most problems can be resolved with patient and doctor working together to rid the body of toxins that lead to internal inflammation; however, never hesitates to refer you to the proper specialist if you need intensive help and medication. If you want to change your life she is the one to see.
