Dr. Vargas has been in practice for more than fifteen years.  She initially received her dental degree from the Universidad del Bosque in Bogota Colombia where she was in private practice for several years.  She later moved to Europe where she conducted research and published several papers in European journals.  She later migrated to the United States and after validating her credentials, she was awarded her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland’s Dental School.
Dr. Vargas has continued to pursue higher education in order to broaden her skills as a dental professional, and to treat her patients in a more holistic view.  She has completed post-graduate training in dental implants from Implant Seminars under the direction of Dr. Arun K. Garg.  Dr. Vargas is a certified Invisalign® provider and is now pursuing a diplomat in conventional orthodontics.
Dr. Vargas is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental …Association, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and is a fellow of the  American Board of Oral Implantology.
