As a patient with a rare, chronic disease, I have often found it difficult to find doctors who are willing to work with me to get to the root of new symptoms. Dr. Rioja is a godsend! She took the time to listen to me, acknowledge my concerns, and answer my questions without trying to ‘hurry me out of the office. She was kind, patient, and seemed genuinely concerned and interested to get to the root of the issue. She was also willing to collaborate and think outside of the box. When I sent her a question via the online patient portal, she responded quickly. At my follow-up appointment, she thoroughly went over my results, explaining them clearly, and answering any further questions I had. We also discussed possible courses of action should certain symptoms get worse. I can’t say enough good things about her! She is a wonderful doctor who really cares about her patients and I am so thankful to have found her.

I was very impressed by Dr. Rioja's knowledge and kindness when treating my father who speaks very little English. He has dementia. He has seen several neurologists in the past. No one had been able to diagnosis him. Dr. Rioja was so patient and kind, speaking to him in Spanish. He felt very comfortable. Our family was so happy to finally find a doctor who could treat him. We are recommending Dr. Rioja to all our friends that need a neurologist!
