Dr. Lillian Yang, MD

Dr Yang is an excellent eye doctor. She has been my doctor for over 6 years and conducted surgeries and referrals to retinal opthalmologists as required. Dr. Yang has explained costs and insurance issues with me in advance. She has always been candid and clear. Her conclusions have been validated by other physicians I have consulted. Other patients of Dr Yang who I know also consider her work superior.

Can't understand how Dr Yang received such high reviews. Office staff very pleasant and professional. Certain she is highly skilled which is most important with a surgeon, but she has no bedside manner or professional office interpersonal skills. Same experience as patient in last review - spent hours in the patient room waiting and taking the measurements before the consultation where learned that our UHC PPO Senior Advantage only covers ultrasound waves method of removing cataracts and not laser which costs $1,000 more per eye and that I have astigmatism in both eyes that require another $1,000 each eye to have new lenses with correction. Total came to over $4,000 - when my wife had same surgery with ECI 10 years ago our insurance covered 100%.

She explained things and was really nice and professional.

Dr. Yang is being proactive regarding the condition of my optic nerve.

I went for an eye exam, many measurements taken by bright professional woman who told me I may have cataracts based on symptoms. I then saw dr who confirmed it. The visit went to a new level, cataract surgery pros and cons. All those measurement were Not needed. Perhaps Angelica could have stopped a s checked in with dr yang on her findings rather than take all those measurements.
