Dr. Lily Tranchito, DO

Came in for a follow up literally spent 3 minutes talking to me. Told her how my periods are different lengths she told me she doesn’t consider that irregular periods and wouldn’t do hormone testing on me even though I have family history of thyroid issues and cancer. Was very dismissing and could tell she wanted me to be in/out. Told me not to come back to her since my nodules went away. Would NEVER recommend her to anyone!

Horrible experience with this doctor. She does not do any patient teaching on other hormonal replacement medication. I was having allergic reaction to synthetic medication (Synthroid) and she wouldn’t let me try natural medicine such as armour thyroid. Dr. Tranchito stated she doesn’t believe in armour thyroid only synthetic medication such as Synthroid. According to the national institute of health more patients in the United States are on Armour thyroid compared to synthroid. I had to find another doctor as she refused to change my medication and try other options. She’s unknowledgeable about post op care for the surgery I had; also is unaware of medication causing horrible side effects that she prescribed me. I found that very concerning for a doctor to be prescribing medication and not know the potential side effects and when it’s in the best interest of the patient to change the medication. I don’t know why she picked a specialty that uses both natural and synthetic medication but… has an extremely biased view on Armour thyroid. If you don’t respond well to synthetic medication she will not care about your quality of life nor let you try other hormonal replacement medication.
