Dr. Lina Amini, MD

Treated for a couple of years by Dr. Amini. First couple of visits were a bit rocky, but interaction kept improving such that I was impressed with her detail and analysis of my existing, previously prescribed medications, and I felt at ease with her determinations and interest in my condition. In fact, I was most disturbed to find that she would no longer be accessible to me and I've yet to have the first visit with the doctor I'm now being referred to. In addition to above positives, I really personally liked her and was always happy to meet with her.

Excellent manner. very detailed she spend about one hour to examine my eye. Answered all my questions. Highly recommend her.

The handout was not updated after the visit but got an old diagnosis and recommended treatment. It didn't update the last updated information, So the handout was meaningless. Calling back didn't help much.

BEWARE! After waiting for months to get into this doctors office (I'm not a new patient either) Dr. Amini was very rude, doesn't smile, and very harsh with her words if you don't have perfect control of your diabetes. She made me cry a lot during my appointment and there was a misunderstanding, which I left with no new prescription for glasses, which is why I made the appt to begin with. She may have a diploma, but knows NOTHING about what a diabetic goes through daily. Very hurtful words came from her as if I were dieing or something. She also told me I needed to run 5 miles a day to stay healthy, and I'm not even overweight. I guess my 1 mile a day isn't good enough - talk about discouraging! I will not be back to this "doctor."

Berated her staff during appointment. Cold and compassion-LESS bedside manner.
