Dr. Lina Ratnakar Anthony

Don not see this Doctor if want a correct diagnosis and not someone who is impatient rude and condescending. Has no bedside manner

I was admitted to Banner Baywood with a severely inflamed appendix, In the surgical process, I was evidently injured with the insertion of the breathing tube. The next day I began coughing up blood and Dr Anthony was called in. It was Sunday and 4 hours later she showed up (which I understand) and ordered an x-ray. The comparison showed pneumonia and antibiotics were ordered and another x-ray for the next day. The x-ray tech wrote that no pneumonia was evident. I never saw Dr. Anthony after the initial visit. She was the final Dr. to approve me being released. I had some questions to ask but she was to busy to come up. The charge nurse at Banner called her for approval to release me. I feel this was very unprofessional. For the money she charged for the 4 days of treatment she could have shown up. I would not recommend her.

She is part of a very busy practice. Sometimes her staff seem to be on "auto pilot." but I know they really do care for each patient. Dr Anthony herself is a warm and dedicated pulmonologist/sleep specialist. I wish the sleep test procedural process was easier and more comprehensive.
