I think Dr. Belhorn has done a good job with me over the past years. I will be sorry to see her leave Emerge.

Dr. Belhorn is very thorough, knowledgeable, kind, empathetic and concerned about her patients. She never appears rushed and spends time answering questions well. She spends hours advocating for patient medications with insurance companies and communicates problems and results well. She has helped many of my family members for years and made such improvements with our autoimmune diseases! We are all very disappointed that EmergOrtho has decided to eliminate the Rheumatology department. We feel that there is not equivalent rheumatology care anywhere in this state and feel very sad to be losing Dr. Belhorn as a much appreciated rheumatologist!

Dr. Belhorn has an excellent bedside manner (gentle and compassionate) and stays current with research in her field. Her patients benefit from her commitment to evidence based medicine, as well as her empathic nature. I suffered severe pain for several years before receiving the correct diagnosis from Dr. Belhorn. Under her care, I'm relieved to have recovered a good deal of the function I'd lost. My disease process is well controlled and I especially appreciate her willingness to talk through my questions and concerns. I appreciate that she is open-minded, and the degree to which she allows me to participate in decisions regarding my plan of care. You can always count on her to respond quickly to any concerns you may have between appointments. Although her area of expertise is quite specialized, she cares for not just the disease of her speciality, but for you as a whole person.

Dr. Belhorn receives our highest commendation of any doctor for her thorough care and consistency in her practice. I am able to go about my daily life and do all I can because of her ability to listen intently and diagnose the proper treatment necessary as she shows true concern for her patients. My husband accompanies me to every appointment and also states he has never seen such a tremendous doctor before who cares so much about her patients.
