Dr benjamin continually increased meds and dosages without referring me to a specialist. Dr had me on 160 mg of oxycontin 10 mg oxycodone and lortab for pain. Instead of referring me to a psychiatrist she steadily increased prozac and xanex to dangerous levels. Which is what I was told by the psychiatrist who I eventually went to. After being a patient for 3 years and waiting up to 4 even 5 hours at a time for a visit I realized her "dozing off" during my exam was much more than that. She did tell me I should not feel "guilty" or "stigmatized" for being on so many meds, as she also used them. That was the aHa moment. Thankfully I found a new dr whom I trust, a shrink who has correctly diagnosed me, and a pain management dr. Who works with me without over medicating. I believe dr Benjamin truly thinks she is helping her patients, when in fact it she is truly dangerous.

drug pusher, 200 mgs of oxycontin a day with oxycodone in between and xanax to top if off. don't remember a good portion of my life. do remember withdrwal. used to wait on average four to six hours at my appointment, ever month. I smell kick backs from the drug company who makes oxycontin because she would never write it out to be filled generically. talking to other patients in her office,they all were on it, even ones who hated being on it. totally misdiagnosed me and made me worse off then when i started.
