Dr. Linda Pauline Bock, MD

I’m an adult (age 30+) and a pharmacist by trade, reflecting back on my experience with this doctor, I’m completely appalled at her approach. She misdiagnosed me as bipolar and cycled me through over 10 drugs in under 2 years. She also didn’t titrate properly - instead of starting me on 25mg of seroquel (an intense mood stabilizer), she prescribed me 100mg 2x/daily! The drugs made me sleepy and I got in additional trouble at school for falling asleep. As a medical professional, I suggest avoiding her at all costs. Her approach is unsafe and actually adversely impacted my well being.

This doctor has been a sham since the 1980s, when she tried to convince patients they had been sexually abused though they denied it and had no memory of the abuse. Of course, it would later become known nationwide that “doctors” creating false memories of abuse during that time was a widespread problem. She also partnered with Dr. Felix LaRocca back then, who lost his license in 1992 for two accusations of sexual misconduct. Devoid of ethics and morals one expects with this type of professional. Real scum.

My kid was under 100 lbs & had anxiety issues. She wanted to put my kid on 700 mg of Seroquel/day along with 100 mg "poppers" to be used also as needed! She then proceeded to show us a card that had all the different mg Seroquel pills attached to see what size my child could swallow?? I told her that sounded like too much medication & asked if there was a different medication that could be taken. She said my child may be a little sleepy at beginning & if I didn't like her treatment to go elsewhere! I researched medication & found adults seldom take that much! Being horrified, we took our child to a different Dr & my child was put on a very low dose of different medication. 2nd Dr was also horrified with how much medicine she wanted my child to take.

Was referred and was able to respond very quickly with an appointment. This is about the only good thing I can discuss. Trying to get my son in to see someone and wife took my son from school for the appointment. The Dr. the whole conversation which was one sided never opened the door and just spoke thru a receptionist window said She doesn't allow anyone under the age of 4 in her office. I have a 2 year old, We were never told this. She didn't take our insurance, she never asked. I am a one income family which alot of people now are because of the ecomony. She refused to speak to my older son with my younger one in the room. My wife called I left work (which I am not allowed but you do what you have to for your family) so I could watch my younger one while my oldest was getting help. The whole time my wife was talked down to and then the so called Dr. stated she will not see my son because we do not have the proper insurance and she charges 400?!! dollars an hour and she can't help… for minimum of 3 visits that we should reschedule then she stated she is not rescheduling she is canceling and shut her receptionist window. The absolute rudest individual who is a so called doctor to help kids and families. I am completly disgusted by the way she handled herself and this situation and the worst is my son isn't any closer to recieving the help he needs. People there are plenty of choice in the St. Louis market to chose from this is not the right choice. Keep looking and stay away, Extremely unprofessional about the ultimate goal which is care for the individual she was more focus on her care and needs.
