Dr. Linda Rae Ellsworth, MD

She solved my fertility problem which had been a mystery to other specialists. I will forever be grateful for her care. I would not have my babies without her help.

I was previously a pt of Dr. Ellsworth referred to her to treat for my PCOS and NEVER again will I see her. The 1st thing she did was switch my birth control from Yasmin to Loestrin w/o explaining why & despite having no previous problems. The new pill was the completely wrong formula for me and wreaked havoc on me physically and emotionally. Any concerns I had were essentially dismissed but I was put back on my previous pill after crying in her office. Then she wanted to do a uterine biopsy which had to be rescheduled the 1st time due to me still spotting while I was on the Loestrin. The 2nd time it was rescheduled, I called on Friday to let them know I was still lightly spotting to which the staff said no problem. I called on Monday, the day of procedure again just to double check, and was told I needed to be rescheduled for another week out. Only after yet another crying fit (and I'm not a cryer) did they proceed with the exam of which they were able to do normally without… complications. She then wanted to do a DNC and when I asked if this would be done with hysteroscopy, my concern was dismissed. It ended up being rescheduled from one month to another and I noticed that miraculously the hysteroscopy was now included as part of the procedure. I paid my dr's fee of almost $300.00 as I was aware of my high deductible on my insurance plan at the time. I asked if they were sure that this was all I had to pay for the surgery and I was told yes. I was even told I would receive a phone call a day or 2 from the surgery center & just to let them know that I had already paid. Which is exactaly what happened and what I did, until the surgery center explained to me that what I had paid was the dr's fee only. They were calling to collect their fee and needed a minimum of 600.00 for $4000.00 procedure. When I called the ofc to explain what happened and to get some answers, I was basically told it was my problem. Needless to say, I never returned to her again and would not recommend anyone else to see this physician. I have never again encountered an office like this with an physician and staff who is so uncaring and dismissive of a patients concerns.

She misdiagnosed me, tried to tell me I needed a surgical procedure. I went to another doc for a 2nd opinion, who spent more time with me and went into detail explaining my health concern, which was minor compared to what this doctor was trying to advise me. Also, I have not had the problem since seeing the 2nd doctor, proving this doc's diagnosis was wrong.

Dr. Ellsworth was more into lecturing than ever listening. I feel she may have misdiagnosed me but whenever I approached the topic she brushed over it. When I moved and my prescription ran out (and I was without insurance) she refused to write up a prescription for me which caused A LOT of problems with my body. I would not recommend her.
