Dr. Linda F Gruenberg, DO

Where to begin with this borderline traumatizing visit? After a receiving a scolding voicemail (tone: annoyance, word choice: aggressive) for forgetting an appointment. ironically, forgetfullness is one of the reasons I'm seeing her, and it would have been nice to have a visit confirmation call as is customary with many modern appointments, but to the point--I went to the office to apologize in person for the forgetfulness and schedule a follow up. When i arrived I was scolded again, reminded of the value of her time, and after a very self serving visit full of prescribing duplicitive tests and labs I left feeling embarrassed, ashamed, and with 2 bottles of medicine I'd never heard of...Other reason for visit? I'd like to figure out a way to not take medicine everyday. Was that question asked? Not enough time--NEXT PATIENT!! I would never, ever, recommend this doctor do anyone I loved.

Dr. Gruenberg cared more about getting my money for my appointments than hearing what I was saying and/or needing. Terrible listener, wasted A LOT of money and time with her. If I didn't need meds before I met her I certainly did afterwards! Most frustrating, unprofessional individual I have experienced, of no help what so ever.

I felt very uncomfortable with Dr. Gruenberg from the very first visit. I was referred to her by another doctor so I trusted that I was in good hands. The first visit was very expensive - my insurance barely covered anything. She pulled out a credit card machine from under her chair before she would begin the appointment. She just has a very cold personality. I believe she over medicated me in an effort to create more follow up visits. She had me on a combination of dangerous drugs for a very mild depression. The amount of drugs I was given was out of line. I did not have a good experience with this doctor. I agree with the review above. She was very condescending.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gruenberg's for over 10 years. I had had several other psychiatrists/psychologists before her: one did not even know my name, another talked about herself more often than she listened to me, etc. When I found Dr. Gruenberg I was not able to work or go to school because my depression was so severe. Initially I went to see her just to be able to get prescriptiont: the psychologist who talked about herself refererred me to another Dr. in Dr. Gruenberg's practice but he was not able to see me at the time. Thank goodness! When I went to Dr. Gruenberg I felt like I had FINALLY found someone who was ready to listen to me and help me. Now I am able to work, I have gone back to school...I feel like I have my life back, and that is an invaluable gift.
