Dr. Linda Uhrig Hitchcock, MD

In the three weeks that my mother has been in a rehab facility, we have yet to see Dr. Hitchcock, and we have seen her associated nurse practitioner only once. When the NP was unable to address our concerns over my mother's cardiac status, I made an appointment with the primary care physician she had always seen at S&W. The NP then alerted me that Medicare would probably not pay for the PCP visit because Dr. Hitchcock was now her PCP. We may have to pay for the care my mother received from her usual primary care physician, but at least she received medical attention and actually saw a doctor. I would recommend that you do all you can to avoid Dr. Linda HItchcock. (By the way, this rating system required that I give at least one star in each category - no stars would be more appropriate.)

She did not take proper care of my mother while she had her in two different nursing homes. I would give a zero but that was not an option.
