My uncle made the grave mistake of switching from Kaiser to an HMO. The insurance company referred him to this clinic due to an oral maxillofacial issue. I had to step in because my uncle was frustrated at the lack of communication from this particular clinic in Pacoima. The staff is incompetent, lazy, and rude! For almost the past two months I have been doing their job to get my uncle an appointment to see an oral maxillofacial specialist. Their job is to follow up, make sure everything is being handled accordingly when it comes to the care of their patients but unfortunately, this has not been the case. They need to hire staff that knows what they are doing as it's clear they have no knowledge of anything. If you can, please avoid this place at all costs. If you do go with them, I will guarantee that you will become extremely frustrated with their poor customer service skills and horrible bedside manners.

Two years ago, I went to see my doctor, who had run a bit behind and Dr. James was available to see me for my annual checkup. These sort of issues were not new to me, and I didn't have a problem with it. After 30 years of seeing doctors annually, I was impressed with the service I received and she became the requested regular for me. The second visit with her was likewise thorough, she answered my questions and eased my concerns when it was revealed a test with hypertension and cholesterol problems. She prescribed treatment and resources that would help in the alleviation, and it works like a charm. Always nice, to me, and didn't rush me through the process. I'd give her 10 stars if I could. And now that she is no longer at the practice, Ill miss her.

Dr. James is thorough and meticulous in her exams, shows concern and care for her patients, and is friendly and open in her demeanor. I highly recommend her.

During my annual "physical" aka pap smear, I explained concerns I was having. It was in one ear and out the other. She was far more worried about having to leave early that day and spent most her time talking to her nurse than listening to me. I ended up going to planned parenthood, who sent me for an ultrasound, confirming my concerns. Had I not been proactive, a serious issue could've become even worse. Even at my first appointment she didn't really listen to what I was telling her. The star is for the receptionist because she was friendly.

Doesn't get much done as internet is always down and therefor ends the visit. All information apparently is in her computer. I feel incomplete as if the appointment wasn't even dealt with most of the time.

45 minutes of looking at the computer. I was in a lot of pain and the last thing I needed was for her to raise her voice at me, and give me an attitude. Did not hear what I had to say. Waited 6 weeks to get an appointment for nothing! Ignored to acknowledge that I nearly died last year due to misdiagnosis of hospital ER!

Excellent Doctor. Staff are really nice and cater to needs of patient. Dr. James is very knowledgeable and has great care and concern for her patients!!
