Dr. Linda Joyce Kurtz, MD

Dr. Kurtz is more focused on self preservation than taking the best care of her patients.

I have read the previous reviews about Dr. Kurtz and it looks to me they are somehow subjective and with comments lacking objectivity, and they do not match my observations (as a biological and biomedical researcher my job strongly depends on observations, perhaps things were different before, but I can just account for the present 2021). Currently my baby's health and development is followed by Dr Kurtz. I saw an experienced and knowledgeable doctor. She gave me proper answers to my questions and her indications (to my knowledge) are meaningful (I am prepared to understand any medical subject). So, there is something missing in the previous reviews, which did not matched my observation.

This dr should not be a dr at all especially not one for children. She treated my son like an object or just another patient to be seen she left the room 4 times to get items that were needed for the visit and each time left my child screaming to the point he was red in the face and arms she would not let me try to calm him down before she started something else she has no compassion or patience for anything she didnt even give me the parent the time to discuss anything with her and I'm ok with that now because she doesnt need to know anything about my child. I even called in after his appt to put it in his file that my son is to never see her whatsoever ever again

If there was a zero rating I would have put that one on here but I had to choose 1 star. She acts like she knows your child better than you do and is condescending about it. Terrible bedside manner. She treats children like objects. I would be surprised if she has any children. I found a much better pediatrician.

This doctor should not be a children's physician. She doesn't understand children. She thinks she knows your child better than you do in a very arrogant way. I would be surprised if she had children of her own because she treats them like objects. If there was a no star rating that is what I would give her and her staff. Horrible. Found a much better physician.

Wait time can be a problem for sure. She is very "by the book" and maybe a bit of an alarmist. Some may like this, but I know my children. Being thorough is good, but I don't want to have to come in for every little thing or get ever test done just in case. Her staff since Keisha left is sub par. THey can't do ANYTHING without checking with her. I don't find her bedside manner to be horrible, she's just very to the point. I'd be surprised if she had children of her own, that's what I mean I guess. All in all she's "fine". I don't think your kids will be unsafe there (in fact quite the opposite) but I think there are better places to go and that's why we are going to switch.

She is overly direct to a point of being rude to parents. she does not really listen to what the parents tell her and she goes along with whatever the average book printed prognosis is, even though not all children display all the same symptoms for everything. She is pushy with her opinions on parenting and doesn't seem to mind insulting parents from time to time. When i told her we were switching doctors, they charged us an outrageous amount per page for copies of my children's records, they then refused to tell me how many pages were in said records so that i could plan financially for paying for them. I asked her office to only print the very basics that the new pediatrician would need and even then she printed photo copies of a record from my baby's hospital stay that she had on fileâ?¦ I could have requested those to be sent to my new pediatrician from the hospital itself for free. Overall, I was basically dreading every appointment with her office and annoyed with her general… lack of politeness with both her staff and with me. I would not recommend to anyone.

This doctor hasn't any bedside manner or sensitivity towards children. She says inappropriate things to children without understanding the effects of what she says has on a child. Perhaps this is because she doesn't have any children of her own and it shows. Do not take your children to this doctor!

Terrible pediatrician, if you would like to spend 2 hours in an office, to be treated like an unimportant number, then Go to Linda Kurtz. Absolutely no bedside manner or ability to build a relationship with children. The office is unkempt and the staff completely disorganized. Don't take your children there!
