Dr. Liau performed brain surgery on my mom to remove a tumor, and we are beyond grateful for her incredible care. Not only did she successfully remove the entire tumor, but her professionalism and compassion throughout the process gave us so much comfort. She explained everything clearly, answered all our questions, and was there for us every step of the way. My mom’s recovery has been amazing, and we owe it all to Dr. Liau and her exceptional skill. We’ll always be thankful for the life-changing impact she’s had on our family.

Dr. Liau diagnosed me with a glioblastoma May 2011, operated, initial biopsy showed demyelination yet Dr. Liau continued removing almost 2cm of my left frontal parietal unnecessarily. There is no benefit of removing what was a CIS (Clinically Isolated Syndrome or a single large lesion). Her choice to remove the demyelination left me unable to use the right side of my body and temporary speech loss (it came back over months). She didn’t see the need for a follow up appointment with me and never had an explanation for removing 2cm of my brain unnecessarily, leaving me handicapped and in pain for life. Dr. Liau came highly recommended, but in my case she failed at her job and took no ownership for it! She should be ashamed!

Dr Linda Liau and her team took excellent care of me at my stay at UCLA. This was the scariest diagnosis I have had in my life and I was physically and neurologically impaired with the tumor that had taken over 25% of my brain. She is an incredible surgeon and the care at UCLA was second to none. She is a ROCK STAR in my mind and it has been almost 9 months since my surgery and I feel I am back to normal. The team had been incredible in their aftercare and were so on top of things checking up on me and monitoring my progress. Dr. Liau recently performed brain tumor surgery on me, for my second time (first time was with a different surgeon). She spent a great deal of time explaining the procedure and answering any questions we had before the surgery. She was also able to take my case a bit earlier as we saw the tumor was growing, and for that I am extremely grateful. Using all of the advanced guidance set up before the surgery made the surgery itself more effective and safer. Dr. Liau was able to remove the entire tumor, including parts of the tumor that the former surgeon was not. Her resident did a great job with the suture, and the entire team at UCLA is absolutely top notch.

Diagnosed with Glioblastoma in 2003. Local hospital told me surgery could NOT be done. Linda Liau removed it all and allowed me to be a patient in the Phase 1 DCVax-L clinical trial. Nothing has ever grown back and I have not used ANY meds for over 11 years!

Dr Liau is an exceptional Doctor & surgeon. She's knowledgable, thorough, and open-minded.

I've been her patient, she visited me only once - the day after surgery. No follow up visit while I was in neuro-ward and neuro rehab,and even post eval of my wound I never see her. I called her secretary for ff-up visit post discharged from the hospital.
