Dr. Linda Maidment Meyers, MD

Dr Meyers had to leave Austin to support her family and her husband in a new job in Tenn. a few months back. I miss her kindness and encouragement. Last year I lost 25 lbs, which I had been trying to do for 20 yrs! I owe it all to her. She is the best doctor I have ever had, the only one who has given me hope of getting over these blasted medications and controlling this insidious disease, diabetes.

I found Dr. Meyers to be friendly enough but dismissive of clients questions and perpetually late. When I have appointments with her she is usually at least 50 min to an hour late. I work full time so this if very unprofessional and inconvenient. I know she has a large practice, but for someone who prides themselves on taking the time to answer patient's questions, she did not seem to have the time for me. Also, during our first meeting, she kept telling me about her postpartum depression. I'm very sorry she has struggled with that and I know she shared that to let me know she understands the seriousness of hormone fluctuations, but she talked about it for like 15-20 min. Just overall not very good at time management or putting the patients needs first.

Dr. Meyers is a knowledgeable doctor, but did not want to engage with me about concerns I had about my treatment. She took my concerns as a challenge to her medical authority, made baseless accusations that I did not follow her treatment plan, withheld access to medically necessary treatment, and leveled highly personal insults over the phone. It was a very upsetting relationship to be in, and I ultimately had to find another doctor. Resulting delays to my treatment kept me out of work for for a month.

Excellent and very personable doctor.

Dr. Meyers is a very thorough and caring doctor. She listens to what you need and is gentle while telling you what you need to do to make your health better. Both my husband and I go to her. We are glad she is staying in the area to take care of our needs.
