Dr. Linda Vieth Rosenblad, PhD

First of all the last comment was NOT a review but an assumption. Big difference. It seems she based her assumption on the remarks the person ahead of her made It seems that the first person to write a negative comment tried to diagnose herself and when her self diagnosis wasn't supported by Dr Rosenblad, she became disgruntled and wrot a nasty review. Dr. Rosenblad is a professional. She is also intuitive, caring and has a great deal of expertise with dealing with patients on the spectrum. My son has seen Dr. Rosenblad for years. She has treated him with respect,understanding and offers practical methods for him to compliment when coping with the world. The first two reviews are inaccurate and totally unfair.

Thank you to the previous reviewer. I was considering visiting this provider for an eval, even though my intuition was feeling pretty negative about it. I was planning on reaching out to someone else one more time in hopes they could see me, and if not, I’d come here. You saved me the waste of time, disappointment, frustration, and pain, unfortunately for you. So I thank you again for posting your review. For myself, and all future women. The worst part is, it is EXTREMELY difficult to find providers (esp in VT) who are current on the diagnostic criteria for adult women who present on the autism scale. I’m even wary having my young daughter weave through the system, as the science regarding all females is still so new and on-going daily. The most knowledgeable provider I could find in the “Vermont” area is in Boston. Urgh. She’s AMAZING. Huge online presence with educational focus. But it’s thousands out of pocket, and a few trips there and back. I’d absolutely do it if I had the… means, for both my daughter and I. But, alas, I’m stuck searching the state for SOMEONE who “gets it.” I’ve found one nurse at UVM, a researcher. But she isn’t a diagnostician. Ok, this is getting long ... We should start a website?? Maybe..... Good luck to all of us, females of all ages, on the spectrum, just trying to get a correct diagnosis. Had 45 min autism screening w Dr. Rosenblad as a self referral 1st time patient. I was given very little preliminary prep or explanation, she was not at all thorough and did not demonstrate a deep understanding of HF female Aspergers/ASD in an adult woman who has coped her whole life. She gave 5 minutes of feedback and I left feeling deeply unsupported and frustrated, being told there was no indication of ASD is 1 thing, but because it is because I know to pick up and comfort my 3 year old daughter or because I yearn for meaningful connections w people is another. I have rapport w diagnosed HF autistic parents and they are able to know that they pick up their crying 3 yr old after they fall, but what is going on internally is another matter. Basically folks w autism were VERY disparaging regarding this Dr when I reported my feedback following the appt. and thought she sounded "ignorant" of many aspects. I dont know, but do know I am deeply struggling w even being able to function and… have my whole life and she summed me up as simply having a "difficult temperment," which to the best of my research is a psychological term for colic babies and challenging children and doesnt have much application to a 34 year old adult whose life is severely limited due to issues that I cope w- whatever the root cause of those issues are. I was referred to her by Stern Institute because they dont do evals or screenings for ASD in adults. Dr. Rosenblad did not demonstrate depth of knowledge, did not seem current in her field, did not care about my life condition and gave zero truly helpful feedback, so I would have a very challenging time giving more than a "fair" review. The office smelled nice and had a peaceful environment.
