Ultrasound tech suggested a possible follow up MRI, but left the decision to my doctors. I was told by Dr. Minion there was no need to do an MRI. I was told, in her own words, not to worry in the months leading up to my surgery when I asked about the MRI (condescending and argumentative). I woke up to a total hysterectomy vs. an ovary removal. Failed to follow up or point out high CEA on my pre-op blood panel. Lack of disclosure about sexual dysfunction that a total hysterectomy could (and did!) cause (ovaries in tact post-op) because she did not realize this would need to be done. Lack of bedside manner. Lack of full disclosure. When I think of the entire situation from a year ago, while I go to chemo at UCI, I get angry they're both still in practice. An MRI. Full disclosure of consequences BEYOND reproduction. Following up a high tumor marker her office ordered. That's all it would have taken.
