be aware!!!! this is the dr who tells you if you have cancer. your fate is in her hands!!! she read my 2nd mammo six months ago. i went for a mammo on my right breast just to recheck a spot that was found and was told that it "probably", yes that is the exact word she put in my report, it was just a fatty tissue in my breast. my dr wrote me a script for another mammo just for that breast, now 6 months later. i was told when i went there today that i didnt need it. i have a mother, 2 aunts and 3 cousins with breast cancer. i told her i wanted it and once again i was told no. she said my family history means nothing unless i have the cancer gene. after about 10 mins of them telling me no, i was told to call and make appt only because i was upset. this is my decision and my ob-gyn's decision to do a mammo, not dr. book's. she is a radiologist, not my obgyn. when i told my gyn about it, he was not happy and told me to go elsewhere. just be aware. it's your body, dont go against your… better judgement. i would like to know if she found a spot and they said it was probably fatty tissue, would she recheck it in 6 months to put her head at ease? when i asked her this question on the phone today, she said i was being emotional. well i rather be emotional and safe than sorry in 1 yr when they tell me that cancer was there and they should of detected it last year on my mammo!!!!
