Simply an excellent doctor.Very thorough-he insisted that I go to Pacific Imaging place on PCH in Newport. The machine detected nodules on my thyroid, and my lung and artery blockage.Without De Guzman’s follow through none of this would have been detected. He probably saved my life.

The most memorable part of the visit was that the first time I was scheduled to see him I waited for 30 minutes. It was only after I said I was leaving and would report to my primary physician how late he was that I was taken into a room. My second visit I was the only one in the waiting room--35 minutes past the time I was to be seen, no one had said anything. No one had told me what was going on or how long it would be to be seen. Overall this was a terrible experience with the waiting and a rude staff. I will never go to this doctor again.

Dr. Deguzman is the best doctor that I have had, and surely the most thorough. I'm a very complex patient having had a Liver Transplant a few years ago. It's hard to find a doctor that will take the time to review my complex medical history and write up a complete and comprehensive patient plan. My last doctor had retired and unfortunately took all my medical records with him. Dr. D took the time (over 2 hours) to sit down and review my past and current medical situation. I was very pleased when I left his office with a complete plan and a set of test to identify my current problem. His knowledge and bedside manner are among the best I've seen. He's able to explain in detail what his action plan is and how to cure your problems or concerns. His staff is professional and caring, taking the extra time to fill out paperwork on line to insure I would get my medications renewed for the new year. I highly recommend Dr. Deguzman and his staff!

I went to see Dr DeGuzman and that same day he schedule all testing for me and had results the day following my exam. He also personally called me with the results as I was diagnoses with colin cancer. Happy to say 'm a cancer survivor today. He is a very professional and compassionate doctor. I would recommend him to anyone. The staff is wonderful. They actually helped with the medical bills I received to help me save money. I just went for a follow up this week (a year after getting diagnosed from Dr DeGuzman) and the entire staff and doctor all remembered me and made me feel special. He is doing some follow up testing to make sure I'm still on the right path and also made sure to ask that my family has been tested as well with a colonoscopy. I know live in Los Angeles, and will continue to follow up with Dr DeGuzman despite the drive because he's one of the few doctors left that actually cares about his patients. I work in the medical field and have come to realize how many doctors… are just practicing for the money, Dr DeGuzman is not one of them. I recommend him with the highest recommendation possible.

Dr. DeGuzman is great. Very personable and answered my questions as well as addressed my concerns. The office staff was very friendly and accomodating. I would highly recommend this doctor.

I was suffering from diarrhea for over 10 years and could not go out to lunch or dinner with my friends and Dr DeGuzman performed a complete work-up and put me on a medication which has changed my life dramatically. Everytime I see him, I just want to give him a hug.

I had seen several GI doctors in the past for my severe colitis and Dr DeGuzman saved my life. He is very up to date on the latest treatment. He went above and beyond to make me better. Now I recognize how important it is to have an experienced GI doctor.

Save yourself a lot of grief and go to another doctor. The staff was incredibly inefficient, rude, and I was forced to constantly hound their office in order to get any results, answers, or paperwork. I will never go to Dr. DeGuzmans office again after what they put me through. It has taken THREE MONTHS to accomplish what could have been done in two weeks. They obviously do not value their patients.
