Dr. Lionel Dean Mccollum, MD

I was very impressed with my consultation. He apologized for making me wait. Was probably only 15 minutes. He was so kind, patient, and understanding. I had been anxious and dreading the visit. Within a couple of minutes I was at ease, and soon felt as though I was already his patient. A doctor like him is very rare. I highly recommend him. Doctor McCollum has been my Oby/Gyn for over 20 years and I can't think of a more caring and compassionate doctor. While being a patient for Dr. McCollum he has helped me through a high risk pregnancy and several other medical concerns - I was always confident he had my best interest in how he approached my care and did an excellent job of explaining my condition. More importantly, I always felt like Dr. McCollum treated me as a person first and a patient second - which is rare find.

I love Dr. McCullum. He delivered my 2nd child and really cares about his patients. Always gives best recommedations to your needs and diagnoses .

He treats you with the most respect and treats you as if you were family. Really takes time to listen and get to know you.

I have been to TOO many OB/GYN docs in my past and was extremely concerned when I was referred to Dr. McCollum. I didn't need to be at all. He was kind, listened, gave me the information and what he planned on doing in a calm but informative-where I could totally understand manner. Certainly very good at what he does. He did my procedure and he, himself called the next day to check on me even though I just had a day procedure. I highly recommend Dr. McCollum. You might want to find out his new address and phone number as he has moved very recently. I received a letter in July, 2015 to notify me of his move.

I have only had two visits so far with Dr. McCollum, but I was so impressed with him. On my first visit which was a consultation, he sat beside me rather than behind his desk, and he really took the time to listen to my concerns and to answer questions about a procedure I was having. He made me feel at ease and acted as though he really cared about me as a person. I wasn't nervous at all about the procedure after talking with him, and it went very well. He is a very nice doctor and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. The office staff members were very nice, also.

I've been a patient of Dr. McCullom's for decades. He's seen me through childbirth and menopause. I appreciate his intelligence and trust him implicitly. He's never rushed and takes time to listen and address all my concerns.
