Dr. Bazzett earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, where she also completed her internship and residency. She completed her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. She then joined the staff of the Ochsner Clinic in 2000. Dr. Bazzett is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has received numerous awards and honors for clinical and academic excellence and achievements in medical research, and has written articles for various scientific publications. Her professional expertise is in the treatment of women with malignancies of the female reproductive organs including cancers of the ovary, uterus, cervix, vagina and vulva. Dr.Bazzett performed surgery on me. She was highly recommended to me by other doctors. I called her about complications after my surgery & she basically told me she had already performed the surgery what did I want her to do? Go to the ER.

It has been three years since I last saw Dr. Bazzett. She treated me during my first pregnancy and for the following five years. She was extremely thorough, kind, explained everything and thoughtfully followed up on my care. I felt confident in her diagnosis and treatment options. Although I lived out of state and subsequently moved 6 hours from New Orleans, I continued to make the trek to Ochsner just to see Dr. Bazzett. She has always answered my questions whether on the phone or via email. If I suspect "issues" again, I would not hesitate to go where ever she is practicing.
