Dr. Lisa Benya, DO

Dr Benya is not a real doctor. . I went to her office and was mortified with how controlling she was . Her pa is a little better . She tried to diagnose me and completely destroyed me with her misdiagnosis . I will be reporting her

This has got to be the worst Doctor's office and experience. I just moved to the area and found her office while driving by. Appointment scheduling was difficult (apparently she is also a Concierge doctor and only has certain hours where she sees regular patients). When I walked into the office I was not greeted. The waiting room was crowded with patients and some type of drivers they called them (apparently she is an alcohol and drug rehab doctor for a lot of the malibu places if you Google her). I went in for my yearly visit and had blood taken and they said they would call in a week. 2 weeks go by and I had to call them to follow up but they couldn't find my results! I had to go back in to have blood taken. Another 2 weeks go by and I called AGAIN but they can't find it. Then a day later they called and said they found it. come to find out they did an uncovered blood work and now I'm fighting with my insurance company to cover it. They need to get their act… together. I will not be going back.

Called to ask about what coverage the office accepted. Had a very rude women on the phone who told me they did not support the service I was inquiring about and then hung up on me, Very disappointed in the professionalism of the staff.

I feel very confident placing my future well being in her hands.

Dr Lisa Benya is a rare find. She's smart, she listens, she explains, she is up to date with her knowledge. She follows up. I've been to many different doctors over the years, and I credit Dr Benya with improving my over-all health tremendously. And by teaching me to be accountable for my own health. Her office staff if very nice, very caring. I've heard other patients complain about wait times. I haven't found that. But, like many offices on the west side of LA, I've observed patients showing up very late for their appointments, and then blaming the doctor's office for having to wait. If you want a doctor who you are willing to listen to, and learn from...this is a good doctor for you. If you want to just walk in and demand a prescription for something, you're in the wrong place. One last thing: This practice recently added an x-ray machine. They also take blood in the office rather than send you to a lab. And, they just move next to the pharmacy in Malibu. Convenient.

I can't believe I have finally found a general doctor that I absolutely love! She spends an incredible amount of time to make sure she covers everything - she is incredible thorough and asks a ton of questions. She is calm, sweet and caring. She makes you feel like you are her only patient. Even the speciality doctors she has recommended have been unbelievable. I am really critical of my doctors and I have complete trust in Dr Benya. Trust me!

Dr. Benya charges in excess of $300 to see a patient for 10 minutes of care. When all you need is simple non narcotic/no scheduled medications her office is rude, inconsiderate and slow. She is just after money.

Came in last week to be pleasantly surprised to see nurse CarlindaStill there!! She is unbelievable, no matter what's going on in the office ,which is bad as ever maybe worse( please Lisa get that front in uniforms or out of the leggins and uggs)or patients she has a gift of making everything better!!! My family all love her!!with my travels, my husband took our son in and he called me to tell me how cool and funny nurse Carlinda was!Dear Lisa we love you!!! Worry how run down you are looking and now concierge ?? Don't take on more than you can handle, we love our Lisa and. Carlinda now the man assistant nice enough but lives on his iPhone for answers ? Needs more confidence and little Carlinda rub off

Dr. Benya is always such a pleasure. She makes being under the weather easier. I would definitely recoommend her office to anyone ooking for a knowledgable doctor with a fantastic bedside manner.

What a great experience at Dr Benya's office. Wonderful doctor and very attentive and great listerner !Very helpful and friendly staff !
