Dr. Lisa Makovec Buell, MD

Dr. Buell became my primary doctor after my first child was born. The first thing she told me at my appointment was something along the lines of 'Can't afford to buy yourself pants without holes in them after becoming a mom?'. It was so degrading. She also talked the entire time she did my physical, as in while she was listening to my heart and lungs she was talking. I'm a nurse, and you cannot listen and talk at the same time. She was so unprofessional which was very disappointing given that so many had recommended her to me. Her office staff isn't much better. They are always acting as if they don't have the time for you and are very short with you. Since seeing Dr. Buell, I've requested her NPs as they have much better bedside manners.

The staff can be very rude. And the incompetence is just astounding. Only ever saw the actual dr, once. She talked a lot and was very fear mongering.

There is a difference between telling a patient you don’t like their lifestyle and asking them to change from shaming them.

Staff are so, rude! Especially the Assistant nurse. She think that by knocking on the door and raising her voice people are treated ... More respect please. I had children with me. I can imagine what it's like outside the workplace. I went for a stomach ache and my annual checkup, and they didn't want to see me because I just wanted to discuss my blood tests only, And for the worst, in the end I found out that the results were still not on time.

Called this am @ 9 am to find out when I could come in for blood work ... no appt necessary .. I was told anytime except 1-1:30 because of lunch break ... rush over after work ..arrived at 12:40 and then was told she was already at lunch until 1:30. I decided to wait after driving 30 mins. Was sitting in the office at 1:30 .. still sitting there at 1:50 .. as I was watching the staff jack around talking and laughing as if no one was in the waiting room .. I decided at that time to cancel my appointment scheduled for next Tuesday ... it’s usually an additional 2-3 hour time frame for a physical ... when I told the “rude” receptionist I was leaving and to cancel my appt she said “oh she’s here are you sure you don’t want to wait “... no I thought an hour of waiting for a “no appt” bloodwork was enough. I just wonder from reading some of the reviews how many patients she is actually losing due to her office staff ..

extremely rude staff. they act like they don't care to even help you. had to see a student instead of a np impossible to see doc.never got a call with test results. very poorly run office

A doctor who is really concerned with her patients well being.Makes her patients feel at ease and comfortable about discusing what problems they maybe having

Dr. Buell’s office took 3 months to get my blood work results back to me, just to tell me my platelet levels were extremely elevated and I was HPV positive. Out of disbelief, I went to pick up the lab results myself from her office. My platelets were indeed elevated (Dr. Buell never explained why or what to do, I ended up seeking help elsewhere) but there was an error within the HPV results. My lab results clearly stated there was no HPV present, Dr Buell wrote in “HPV PRESENT” on her doctor notes. When I tried to address this with her, she denied it. I showed her the printed report and she changed subjects. Within that same appointment Dr Buell was asking about my education. I told her I was beginning grad school and her response was to ask who I slept with to gain admission. I’m pretty easy going and would be able to look past offensive comments if the quality of care was there. Unfortunately not. My entire family has left her care due to long wait times, poor communication, and a… major delay in important test results. I would recommend people seek their care elsewhere.
